Hi ☺️

We are currently TTC baby #3 and my periods have always been all over the place but even more so since I've had my girls. Does anyone know the best way to work out when I'd ovulate? I have the test sticks but so far haven't had any positives and have ordered the clear blue ones but don't want to test too early. Thanks in advance x

Hello @Holly3
I’m using ovulation tests so I know when my peak is and the best days to try. I start testing the day after my period finishes and keep testing until I get my positive/peak. Using both cheapie line tests and the CB ones with the faces. I use CB in the morning with FMU and then the cheapies in the afternoon and evening. Also taking my temp each morning. You can take your temps and track them in an app and this will help you to know the day you ovulated.

I would say do both because then you pinpoint actual ovulation day with the temp and the days before ovulation with the tests to give you enough time to try.

I do have an app too which give you a predicted ovulation day but sometimes the apps aren’t accurate. Good luck! Smile

Ah thanks so much!! That's really helpful 😊

Is that just taking your temperature with a regular ear thermometer? I know this is my third but never did this before!

Thanks again X

If your unsure use something like premom app it scans the tests and tells you when your peak is. And it comes free with a box of tests

I read taking charge of your fertility by Toni Weshler when I was struggling to conceive, I highly recommend it.

@Holly3 a thermometer that tracks your basal body temperature. I have a Femometer one that I got from Amazon. It’s a mouth one. You take your temperature as soon as you wake up before you do anything or even talk or really move lol so it gets your lowest resting temperature. Then you can put your temps into an app and it will work out when was likely the day you ovulated.

Your temp usually dips abit before you release an egg and then rises after it’s released Smile
