8dpo dark ovulation test

Hi everyone,
I think I’m around 8dpo, I’ve been having a few symptoms the last few days but I did keep ovulation testing just in case (I never got a strong positive but had one way darker which I assumed as ovulation) and today it has suddenly darkened again. My period is due in 6 days and I never thought I’d ovulate this late... usually very regular periods.
could this be a sign of pregnancy or should I treat it as ovulation? Would love some advice.

From what I've read, it could be

a) you're pregnant - but if the ovulation strip picks it up, so would a pregnancy test by now, but 8dpo is very early

b) you didn't ovulate when you thought you were and you're ovulating now

c) you have a lh surge before AF arrives - which happens sometimes

How dark is the test?

@Bundaberg84 thanks for the reply, it’s all so confusing. I ovulate I think around cd12/13.. and on cd21 now so doubting what this means. This is my premom app so you can see the peak this morning. My period isn’t coming just yet so I don’t think it would be that unless I’m super early but it’s never happened before.

You could try an early response pregnancy test to be sure?
