Hey everyone - new here!
I came off Cerelle 75mg in approx. July/August 2021 (after being on the pill for about 6 years), and have been actively TTC with OH since then (both just turned 30), with no luck yet. My periods have been pretty irregular since then, with some being extremely light.

With my periods being pretty irregular, it's hard to track my cycles :( and spending so much money on ovulation tests.

I was so sure I was pregnant this week, after getting sore nipples, backache, pain in my pelvis (Ovia app got my hopes up), but got a BFN 4 days ago, and again this morning :(

Anyone got any wise words for a new member, feeling abit low?

Hiya!
I guess first of all it can take some people a few months for their cycles to return to normal after coming off the pill. It may just be that way for you unfortunately. Were your cycles more regular before?
Do you have any health issues which may be complicating things? Weight/pcos/older etc?

If not I would recommend ditching the opks as they're really difficult with irregular cycles. Just DTD every two days over the whole likely fertile period. Then you don't need to predict ovulation anyway.

You could also try temping if you think it wouldn't stress you out. It's reassuring to confirm you are actually ovulating (opks never prove ovulation) and if you aren't then that is useful information to arm yourself with.

Dear OP, it takes around 5-6 months for your cycle to come back to normal after the pill or mirena coil, so your periods being light & irregular is quite normal. If they are still like this on march/april then maybe ask your gp for advice.

ttc normally takes 3-12 in your age so relax and keep trying, :)
dtd every 1-2 days in your fertile window, do the ovulation tests (if you have pcos they dont work), start prenatal vitamins, healthy eating, and reduce smoking, caffeine and alcohol.

These are the "trying" 101 that come to mind😅

Hi ! This thing is so hard! I came of the pill at the beginning of January and and my first cycle was 39 days! I've been on the pill for around 14 years so really have no idea what my usual cycles are like. Its a little depressing thinking that it could take up to 12 months for my cycle to settle back down to whatever it is naturally! I had no idea of this before hand and now I'm just wishing I had come of the pill sooner as I can tell I'm going to be very impatient!
