Hi Everyone,

I thought I’d start a new thread for February following the January one.

About to start month 4 of TTC after a MC last month.

The months seem so long with a TWW thrown in but then I also can’t believe I’m about to start cycle 4! (I know that isn’t a long time for some of us and that makes me feel sad, TTC is so unfair at times)

Anyway, feel free to join if you’d like to get through February together! X

@melbxldn thank you! Was just starting to worry I was doing it wrong is all, my first month ever using them!

@mightbeyesmightbeno was wondering if it was normal for OPKs to be up and down as my numbers are very up and down and not had a high or peak reading yet as I'm CD13 today. So with it being my first time using them I was worried I was doing something wrong!

Cookiedough123 · 31/01/2022 09:49

@kizzy97 have you been using premom to read your tests? This was mine over the last 10 days or so.

The month of valentines, pancakes and lot’s of BFP’s! 🤞🏻❤️
melbxldn · 31/01/2022 10:36

@kizzy97 I find the Premom app actually a bit confusing, basically if your second line is as dark or darker than control that’s positive and try not to worry too much about the numbers. I’ve switched to digital this month although more expensive as was overanalysing the numbers on Premom
Too much

Tinkerbell098 · 31/01/2022 10:41

@kizzy97 sorry I can't be of much help as I don't use an app or the OPK sticks you're using. I use the CB advanced as there's no guessing involved and now that I understand my cycle, I only need to use about 3 per cycle (blank, flashing and static). It sounds like the up and down readings are normal though. Once you get a peak, you'll know for sure as they'll be much darker than the control line. Good luck!

Hey girls,

Just wanted to update you all.

I caved and tested last night on a FRER 10DPO (AF due Thursday) & it was negative 😭 & tbh it's likely to be accurate as it says on the packet you can test up to 6 days before missed period 😭😭😭

I've definitely been feeling pelvic pain not long after ovulation mainly on one side but radiating around my lower back and middle too sometimes. It's not a strong pain but it's definitely there niggling away on and off. Last night I couldn't get comfy in bed because of it but now I'm freaking out if it's not a baby then what the hell could it be .

I've called the drs and have to give a urine sample this morning to rule out infection.

Will share what I find out in case anyone is ever having similar symptoms.

So upset about the negative test again, really thought this was our month :(

Sending you all love

❤️

Bundaberg84 · 31/01/2022 10:57

I will test the day after my AF is due if it didn't show up already, as usual. Only DTD twice in the fertility window, but weirdly I'm almost a bit confident this month. But I don't want to jinx it.

@Mariabombia me too I caved thanks to the boredom of covid isolation. BFN for me too. I feel like my period is coming. It's due Tuesday/weds. I've always had a positive before now so definitely out this month. Roll on March testing 😭😭😭

Bundaberg84 · 31/01/2022 11:02

@Curlywurly3 if it's any consolation, I'm currently "working from home" in a fancy wellness hotel, just me and my doggy. I will have prosecco and I will go to the sauna and sit in the whirlpool, even though I'm in my 2WW. In my opinion it's about not being stressed and feeling good that might do the trick. When I got my first BFP I didn't drink and was acting like I'm already pregnant and it ended up being a chemical. Second time I had a glass of wine here and even a gin tonic there, and unfortunately it ended up being ectopic, but that has nothing to do with how you "live" in the 2WW.
Basically don't stress yourself over the glass of wine you had. It won't harm the process. But if it triggers stress, you might want to cut it out completely.

Mariabombia · 31/01/2022 11:07

Sorry @ladybuggoldfinch :( I know how crap it feels. I said to my DH last night this whole process is like bloody emotional whip lash.

How come you're waiting until March now if you don't mind me asking?

Mariabombia · 31/01/2022 11:08

@ladybuggoldfinch also I hope you're okay & the covid symptoms haven't worsened ❤️

TheBirdintheCave · 31/01/2022 11:18

@Mariabombia With my son I didn't get a positive on a FRER until 14dpo. There's still time :)

Purple29 · 31/01/2022 11:19

I'm not sure how to do it myself, can someone add me to the calendar. I'll be testing on the 5th. The day after AF is due. Think it will show up this time tho.

ladybuggoldfinch · 31/01/2022 11:44

@Mariabombia I think by my cycle it will be the first week in March I will be testing.

Covid symptoms still persist but they are much improved. Hopefully will test negative soon 🤞🤞. I just want to give my son a cuddle. It's shit being the only person in the house with covid. Not that I want them to get it.

Hope you are ok too! It sucks so much seeing that stark white negative xxx

mightbeyesmightbeno · 31/01/2022 11:50

@ladybuggoldfinch that's really tough for you :( Sending virtual hugs.

mightbeyesmightbeno · 31/01/2022 11:52

I'm having definite ovulation pains today. So suspecting that my static smiley I got on Saturday was the earliest possible time I'd have seen it and now ovulating today. So massively hoping that last night and the night before did the trick. I'll see if DH is up for more later but I doubt it! Fingers crossed my little egg being released right now finds a little sperm ready & waiting for it 🤞🤞🤞

BabyBird20 · 31/01/2022 12:36

So I was really looking forward to jumping back on this thread in the lead up to my fertile week but I tested positive for covid yesterday 😭😭 Cd 9 today and usually ovulate around cd 16/17. Really hoping I feel better before then as currently stuck isolating in my room while my dh and toddler avoid me! It's so rubbish!

Greenwhale · 31/01/2022 13:01

Could I please join? 2nd cycle TTC
Ovulation day today for me I think as yesterday I finally had a positive cheapy ovulation strip test. DTD yesterday and hopefully again tonight +/-tomorrow. Unfortunately with a terrible sleeping 2 year old we just can't seem to manage DTD before the essential two lines on an OPK appear 😕. Hopefully the 'mature sperm' from last night can be overtaken by some fresh newbies tonight if they aren't up for the task😆

ladybuggoldfinch · 31/01/2022 13:35

@BabyBird20 this has literally been me since Friday! It's awful! I feel your pain. Not the ovulation part the covid part. I'm going stir crazy

Are you testing different times a day? I test mid morning and late afternoon/evening usually.

Leave the test for 5/10 mins or until the pink background has changed to white completely.

Mine gradually goes up over 2/3 days. Then gradually comes down. I'm going into my fifth month using them.

Are you using easy@home and premom?

Bringonbaby3 · 31/01/2022 13:58

Finally got my positive ovulation test today at CD17! Means I will push my testing date back :(

hi! I was on the january thread and had a BFP but turned out to be a chemical - so back on the bus for February hopefully. Not entirely sure when AF due but sometime towards the end of the month. Anyone else had experience of a chemical? how did your cycle adjust afterwards?

lottieb92 · 31/01/2022 16:47

Hey everyone! I will fully catch up later, I’m on the cusp of my peak, and ovulation dates - so I’m adding me to the list.
I’m hoping to be 12DPO on V day, so going to test that morning - providing Ovulation isn’t later this cycle :)

@toddlertired not me but my best friend had a chemical and she conceived her DS the next month. I don't remember exactly but I think her cycle only adjusted by a couple of days.

Sorry for your loss

oldermam · 31/01/2022 17:45

Sorry for your loss @toddlertired

Been a tough month for us. We did dtd over the weekend when I got my peak. But if we don't catch this month we are going to book a private fertility appointment to check there's no problems x

ShinyEyes33 · 31/01/2022 17:51

Hi everyone, I haven't been posting much, have just caught up with a few days worth of posts.
@mightbeyesmightbeno I'm glad you bought up the 'dribble' situation, I've wondered about that since TTC, didn't think that not having an 'O' could affect that. I don't usually, so maybe I'll have to get DH to try harder 😉😆
I've never taken a pregnancy test before, I just wait until AF arrives, which she always has done... Is there any benefit to doing a frer before AF is due? I know if I get a positive and it ends up being a chemical at least I would know we can "make" something, if you know what I mean..
