Conceiving while on antidepressant-possible birth problems?

Hi everyone.
I have a question here. Would love to know about some experiences where husband takes antidepressant and whether you conceived successfully and how was childbirth? Ive read a risk for genetic damage to sperm.. Is it possible to cause birth defects even if taken by husband? I know people arent doctors here but maybe someone had experience..? Thanks best regards

One of my best friends takes antidepressants and he and his wife have a beautiful healthy baby girl :) As far as I know it doesn't cause any issues re sperm.

My partner and I are both on antidepressants and I am 38+2 weeks with a healthy baby

Currently 23+1 with an IVF baby, still taking my antidepressants daily. It's important to talk to your doctor as they will be able to weigh up the risks to the baby Vs the risks of no medication, but in most cases antidepressants are considered pretty low risk.

I've never heard of this. I've taken anti-ds for years. No issues at all with DD1 and DD2 due in 5 weeks and everything hunky dory. Ask your midwife or get in touch with health visitor if you are worried, but I don't think this matters at all.
