Faint positive or indents????

Hi.
So I had a MMC in October, been TTC since.

My period came back just over 4 weeks later, they have since been very short and light.

Then next period was 31 days later and the next most recent was 22 day’s, this one was crampy and very light but red and watery only lasted 2ish day’s followed by brown spotting.
Anyway decided to do a test based on 28 day cycle(this morning being day 29) I’m not counting the little bleed at day 22.

I’ve done a lot of test’s over the last month, and I’m forever getting my hopes up but this morning I’m not sure either way, I know I’ll test again in a few day’s but this can’t be evap before 5 minutes?

I’ve read a lot about FRER and their indents.

These are taken at 5mins and none after 10.
No tweaking apart from the last pics.
What do you think?

I could see the line straight away at 3/4 minutes.

I see the line.
Retest in 2 days and see if it gets darker. Fingers crossed!!!

I can see the line but unfortunately frer are showing terrible faint second lines at the moment. I had the same happen to me on about 5 tests, didn't get any darker and had my hcg confirmed as a level of 1 with a blood test. I'll never use them again as it's just awful getting your hopes up. The tests must be so sensitive that they show a faint positive even with a non pregnant level of hcg 😞 I really hope that's not the case for you, I would retest in a few days and see if it gets any darker x

I had the same happen to me also. I didn't think it was an evap because it came up in the time frame. Then I realised there is already a line on most frers before they have been used so as soon as it gets wet, it shows darker:

Having said that, I had 2 mcs last year but when I did get BFP's they started just like that, so it could go either way. Good luck and I hope it is your BFP!

I’ve never seen them this obvious before, I usually have to stare and look in multiple different lights to see them, I sound crazy writing that but I’m sure I’m not the only one.

I’ll definitely test agin, we only have a few different brands to chose from where I’m from so I’ll try another, I thought FRER were the best until I’ve been on these threads and read all about the indents and evaps.

I wish it wasn’t coming to this and I swore I wouldn’t be a serial test taker but here I am.

SmileThank you for your advise.

@chasingtherainbow1@lilrosemarie@Bellesjp I’m sure I’m just reading too much into it, my google history will tell that I’m not exactly taking it easy.

See the above comment, I just worked out how to tag.

I really just wanted to see if anyone had lines like this at 3/4 minutes, I won’t get my hopes up as I did have a bleed at day 22.
Maybe after the MMC I’m still not regular in my cycles.

@Bellesjp
Thank you for your reply. I thought that, I’d read a lot of comments about this some going back 10 years.
I can see the line in a negative pic and I wasn’t sure if you could see evaps in that setting.

I’ve now thrown the test away, I’d been checking it all day to see if it looks any different otherwise.

Hi @Beaubaby I could see in negative on mine, but I don't think it was an evap line, it really was just picking up hcg of 1 😞

I didn't mean to put a downer on things, I hope your line gets darker in a couple of days x

chasingtherainbow1 · 07/01/2022 21:30

This is an example of mine that I took the day before having an NK cell biopsy. We had not been trying that month and used protection throughout. I sent a complaint to FRER because it's making it so difficult for people to decide whether it's a BFP or indent/evap.

Try again in a few days. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you

Hi @Beaubaby I remember your posts I think, sorry you had a MMC Flowers

Attached is a FRER indent line of mine. Hmm

I can actually see the second lines on FRERs straight out of the pack these days. Heaven knows why they can’t manufacture them like the easy@home tests where there’s no room for misinterpretation.

@Decaffe

Oh yes can really see those, it’s so bad. I used a strip 3 days ago and got the faintest of lines.

I think all this stress comes with testing way too early. .

I keep telling myself if I wasn’t trying and my period was 1 day late I wouldn’t be running to POAS.
ConfusedIt’s so hard to listen to my own advice.
