Ovulation day! Entering TWW

Cycle 5 this month and today is ovulation day. Entering the dreaded tww, any else to keep me company??

I'm NTNP, but tracking my cycle because I hate not knowing when AF will come, just not forcing sex in the FW and seeing what happens for now.
I'm pretty sure I ov'd on the 5th or 6th.
This month I've had the most fertile CM I've had since coming off bc last year. Also the most ewcm I've never noticed!

We dtd on the 5th, so now I'm entering the TWW too. Even though we're not "actively trying", can't help but get my hopes up lol

Hello @Tigerlilyxx! I am about CD6 today so also currently in the TWW and happy to join you! Such a test of patience.... It's our second cycle trying this time - we have a little girl already, so will be our second baby hopefully.

I symptom spotted like mad last month and my period was weirdly 4 days late when it had been regular for months, so I was convinced I was pregnant even though I kept having negative tests. I told myself I wouldn't think about it as much and definitely not test early this time but it's so hard isn't it...

How did you confirm ovulation, are you temping?

@IslayBrigid it would be our first child, so I also keep symptom spotting but no idea what I am actually looking for. how old is your DD? what symptoms did you have in your first pregnancy?

I'm just using LH OPK (if that is the right acronym) and EWCM, at first it was tricky interpreting the results but after 5 months I had it nailed down and I'm pretty regular with OD.

It is a test of patience, first couple of months my periods were also randomly late and I kept convincing myself I was despite negative pregnancy tests. Last month I was also convinced I was when I started suffering heartburn but probably just too much indulgence before christmas. AF then arrived xmas day.

@Gizzy93 Good luck!! Good sign with the ewcm I think, when I first came off bc I had lots too at ovulation but then it since stopped when we actually started trying. But fingers crossed this is the month for us both. When I added in OPK I found that actually I was ovulating 3 or 4 days before I expected to just tracking cycles, so it might be same for you but I have heard ewcm is a good indicator.

Is anyone using anything extra to help? I am trying to remember to take my folic acid but not using anything else to help. After cycle 5 I might invest in some proseed I have heard about but any other tips?

Oops I meant 6dpo, not cd6! Haha. Would have to ovulate on day 1 of cycle for that to even make sense. I'm pretty sure I ovulated day 17 so 6 days ago but the apps tell me it was day 15... I'm charting temp but it's not very reliable as I'm often up with my DD in the night so difficult to get the required 4 hours straight of sleep 😂

@Tigerlilyxx I was actually just looking back at my notes from previous pregnancy... My DD is 16 months so it was about 2 years ago. I was using the natural cycles app so very methodically taking my temp for about a year to PREVENT pregnancy, and then when we decided to TTC it happened first cycle I think due to just having that data and knowing when I ovulated for sure, due to the temperature rising. I did also use LH OPKs and had a look at cm... I think temp rise is most reliable confirmation you have indeed ovulated after the LH test positive result. So I'd recommend if you are looking for extra tips! Ofc won't work this cycle but if AF comes you could try next time - you can use free apps like fertility friend and just get a cheap BBT thermometer.

Last pregnancy symptoms.... I got an awful cold around time of implantation, had creamy cm after ovulation and had implantation cramps around 9-12dpo but no bleeding! Everyone is different tho!

@Gizzy93, that all sounds super promising, ewcm is normally a good sign of ovulation. How come you haven't decided to formally try if you don't mind me asking?

It's such a guessing game. Do either of you think you'll test early or just wait to see if AF comes?

@Tigerlilyxx I hope you get your BFP too! I actually got excited when I saw the ewcm, I've never seen that much of it before haha.

@IslayBrigid I want to lose weight before we start formally trying. The plan was to buy a house, but the market is terrible here at the moment
