Hello,
Basically I had to come off my previous contraception and start the pill.
First one did not agree with me, so now on another. However, I'm wondering if I've gone wrong!
Basically I stopped my one pill nearly a month ago with a view to having a week break before starting my new one. I ended up having around 12 days break of my pill (during which time we had sex several times).
I then started my new pill. 2 days after starting my new pill I was having hot flushes, very nauseous and off certain foods for around 10 days and 6 days ago my breasts became sore and full. I'm also not sleeping great and having vivid dreams every night. Assuming it's the change in hormone levels.
Initially the nausea was exactly like being pregnant, however I'm no longer feeling particularly sick, just tender breasts. Is there much risk from me having an extended pill break?
Tender breasts and nausea seem to be the most common side effects of the contraceptive pill. However the previous pill I was on was Microgynon which contains the same level of oesteogen as the pill I'm on now, I didn't have such extreme side effects with Microgynon.
Also, I've started to get spots again yesterday. I'm seriously considering giving up on the pill all together as I'm fed up of the side effects.
