EWCM while breastfeeding?

I'm ebf and baby is 3months old. I am aware that ebf is not foolproof as contraception, but we want another baby and the timing wouldn't be terrible if it happened this early.
I had a few days of ewcm last week. I guess this could mean I ovulated, but I also assume that it could just be a random thing, or it could be the slow start of fertility returning but I'm not ready to actually ovulate yet.
So just after some anecdotes really! If you got ewcm while ebf, did you get a period soon after, or did it take months?

I was EBF my daughter and fell pregnant when she was 8 weeks. Never had a post partum period before my BFP.

I BF DS1 until he was 19 months then stopped because my period never returned and I wanted to TTC. I did get some ewcm in the months prior stopping which amounted to nothing.

I BF DS2 until he was 26 months. My period returned at 22 months while breastfeeding him, and I became pregnant 3 weeks later! I don't remember having EWCM while breastfeeding him, but did have it when I ovulated after first PP period.

Not sure if my anecdotes are very useful at all 😂

I had a little ewcm a few times whilst bf but didn't fall pregnant until I stopped breastfeeding.

Thank you! So.it does seem like it's normal to get ewcm and it doesn't necessarily mean fertility is returning imminently. Good to know!
