Hi, I'm new to this forum so hopefully iv asked a question correctly? I'm ttc, my ovulation should have been 28th December, however this morning, just out of curiosity really, not sure why I decided to try, but I took a pregnancy test, 2 lines are visible, the control like is strong but the other line is very faint, but visible. I decided to take a ovulation test incase I was ovulating late or something and the lines were very very strong even though I'm due on my period on the 11th Jan and should have already ovulated. Could my body just be preparing for a period so my Lh levels have surged hence the strong lines on the ovulation stick. Could the faint line on the pregnancy strip be false? I just didn't think a cheap stick could pick up a pregnancy 7 days before your period.

Be gentle on me!! Lol I may be clutching at straws here and my body is playing tricks on me but the other months iv tried pregncy tests and they only ever show one line.

I also remember with my second child I had very positive ovulation tests for days and days even though it turned out I was already pregnant ( I just didn't no it when I was taking the ovulation tests)
I was hoping to upload a photo but no idea how!

Any advice would be great. Thank you

Your dates are exactly the same as mine and it's making me want to test! I'm trying to hold off as definitely feels a bit early.
A line is definitely a line though on a pregnancy test.
I also had a positive on an ovulation stick in my last pregnancy so maybe I'll try that again haha.

Do you have any symptoms?

If you're on the app just click the wee paper clip to attach a photo.

I think any line on a pregnancy test is a positive? I don't think they'd say positive for ovulation, although I know the other way round can happen with OPKs showing positive when it's actually a pregnancy.

Newbies can’t post photos for a while I don’t think. Can you upload it to Flickr or somewhere and add the link, then we can squint

Sorry to butt in here I’ve tried posting myself but not sure what I’m doing wrong. I had what seemed to be implantation bleeding 9 days ago (light pink when wiped once on Christmas Day and same again 24hours later, nothing since) and cramps for the past 8 days. Period is due in 2 days time but of course I couldn’t wait all that time to do a test. I can’t count how many I’ve done but all have come up negative. I’m 11 months postpartum and haven’t been using birth control so periods have been pretty accurate up to this random bleeding. I ovulated about 4 days before the bleeding(according to my tracking app but may not be correct). We haven’t been trying to conceive but now the possibility is all I can think about.

Being so close to my predicted period is there any possibility my hcg levels are too low to show on a test yet? Used a Digital clear blue this morning

Hello all thank you all so much for your replies, just thought I would give you a quick update.... this morning I took a early pregnancy test and.... I'm pregnant, yay. I still can't upload photos but both lines are very strong.

I thought it would be helpful if I told you ladies that are trying to conceive what I did different this month. We used sperm lubricant, a contraception cup and also I took proceive capsules, although I really don't think it was down to the proceive capsules because I actually stopped taking them halfway through as I felt like they messed up my ovulation, clearly they didn't! I just think if it's down to anything it's the contraception cup. I have a slightly tilted cervix so I feel like the cup just guided everything in the right direction.

Good luck to all you ladies xxxxx

@Jraxx congratulations!! Happy and healthy 9 months to you❤️

@Gingerbread201 based on how close your spotting was to your predicted ovulation day, it seems more likely that the bleeding was ovulation rather than implantation. Implantation happens at minimum 6 days after fertilisation so it was definitely too early to be that. Doesn't mean you're out though, especially if you DTD around the time of the spotting! If AF isn't due for another 2 days then yes, your HCG may still be too low to show up on a test. I hope you get the result you want! Xx
