Hi all. I'm currently on cycle day 8 and just started to use LH strips to track ovulation in an attempt to prevent pregnancy. My period ended 3 days ago and thought it was way too early to use the strips but just took one to see a progression and it's come back like this. Is this not a little too dark for CD8??? We had unprotected sex last night 😱😱😱 how long would ovulation be from here because now I'm FREAKING THE F OUT

Hi @RMsMama it's not positive unless the line is as dark or darker than the control, you will always have a little lh in your system anyway so likely to always be a line there, it's when it starts to get darker that you're getting closer to your peak :) you might find it helpful to use an app tracker like Femometer as you can take a pic of the test and it will show you if it's low/high/peak!

@Bellesjp thanks for the info! I'll deffo get that app thanks for the suggestion. Will it start to get darker as ovulation approaches or will it be a spike rise?

@RMsMama yes sometimes it will get darker over a few days, when you notice it getting darker then best to test twice a day so you don't miss the peak as can happen quite quickly then drop back down again! Other times I've noticed mine slightly darker in late morning then by afternoon I've got peak so it's not always that gradual
