Positive pregnancy test after the time frame

Hello, wondering if anyone can help.

I took a preg test last night 8dpo. It was negative. Today I checked the test and it’s a positive. I’ve attached a picture. Is this a false positive?

Yes it’s a false positive, it needs to be read in the correct time frame. If your period still hasn’t arrived then test again a few days after your period was due. Check the test within the correct time frame and then the result will be more certain.

I’m only 8dpo and did this test last night 7dpo I just feel like it doesn’t look like an evap to me. It’s a pink dye test for starters and also it’s a thick line.

I’ll have to test again in a few days.

Never heard of this happened before. It’s baffled me.

It looks a good strong line, especially for 7dpo. You do hear of this happening but usually when you return it's just to a faint line, I would take another, but I think thats a very positive looking test! Fingers crossed for you!

For all that we are told not to read it outside the time frame, I will always remember a poster on this board whose consultant told her that it’s impossible for a line to appear if no HCG is present. I would be cautiously optimistic about that result @Username25 especially as it is so very strong. When can you do another test?

It’s honestly not worth the heartache of testing early!!

@Username25 have you got any more tests? Feel like I'd definitely be doing another one. Even leaving a test for ages I can't imagine getting such a strong line.
Not giving you false hope just like you'd be best doing another test to clear up your uncertainty.

I know! It's ridiculous to be testing this early. It was last night. Put it In the draw and saw today it had changed to a positive.

It's just the colour and width of the line that baffled me to be honest as doesn't seem to be an evap. But I am reading lots of people go through the same and then go on to have AF. Just not sure if theirs were pink dye and fully thick lines like this one?

Yes I've got a few more tests so will test again tomorrow with FMU and see what happens. I think im 8dpo today so was thinking it might be wiser to wait til 10dpo.

So I caved and did another test last night. Same thing happened. Negative but turned positive with a pink line.

Tested this morning but BFN.

Here’s a picture of the two positives. Will keep updating this post with my experience to try and help anyone else going through the same.

I can't help thinking there's a faint positive on that 3rd test.

It usually says to ignore it after a certain amount of time. Can you get a first response

I think I see a line on the third test. The light reflection makes it hard to tell but I see a faint line!

Hi guys, defo no line on third test. Attached another photo.

So these tests are for 1 day after AF is due. My AF isn’t due for 5 days so I think these are defo not correct positive results. But I will continue to update as I know it’ll be helpful for anyone else who is experiencing the same and obsessively googling.

Will buy a FRER test today and let you all know how I get on.

Feel incredibly nervous to do it as I’m almost certain it’ll be negative. But at least I’ll know and won’t be in limbo anymore.

Update - no FRERs available but I bought a clear blue early test which you can do 6 days early. It is negative, xx

Need some advice girls

So last month had a chemical pregnancy so trying to stay positive this month , so starting testing early as I'm really hoping to get postive so started testing and got postive , had a break for two day and retested and got another positive .

So today ad I have Internet cheapie indoors thought I would do 3 hr hold today and test and they have all come up positive , I thought after two 3 hour holds and getting positive I would do one after 1hr half hold and come up faint positive I know hcg will be diluted now so may be why it come out tad fainter .
I'm really hoping morning I get another postive got frer coming in post so won't be till Wednesday so just gonna use Internet cheapie till then.

I've had chemical pregnancies in the past. They really do toy with your emotions don't they. I fell pregnant after a chemical with my daughter who is now 5 and I can remember testing daily til about 20dpo just so I couldn't trust it wasn't another chemical pregnancy. She's a happy and healthy 5 year old little girl now.

10 dpo , I've stop testing today as wee was diluted now .

Gonna wait to morning now and test again .

I'm really hoping feel diffrent this month I've been logging all symtom on my phone as they come . Today got a waive of feeling sick and light headed and all twst I've done today have been positive . Just looking at what test to by and when to take it.

Did you get a BFP at 8dpo then? That's so early. Very good lines for 10dpo.
