Conception cups - fad or fab?

Hi all,

I've just been reading about conception cups like ferti-lily. I was wondering if it actually works or not? Xx

I bought one of these to use last cycle. As was entering in cycle 8. Didn’t work first time for me. But am using again this cycle in my fertile week. So will update you if I have any luck!

I figured it couldn’t hurt after seemed to make sense in my head. But I was fed up if Hopi. After 8 months ttc.

Is it easy to use @Indianna2006?
It looks a bit tricky having to insert then turn it inside out.
Im on the verge on buying one as a last attempt before we start ivf.

@fairgame84 it’s fairly easy to use. I have already have a child though so whether that affects things I’m not sure. Ie already birth a baby out of my vagina 😂😅

But I’ve found it okay. I just practised a few times before hand. Deff don’t do a first attempt with sperm up there as night get a bit messy 🙈

After a few goes you get a rough idea an hasn’t been an issue for me.

I've used it but I've ovulated late this cycle so tww starts today.
There is another thread where people have had success with it. Were at the point of saving for ivf so although it's pricey, it's pennies in comparison to what we will be paying for a cycle so I thought it's worth a try.

I just got my bfp at 11dpo! Ttc 14 months and first month using ferti lily.

So is it just a moon cup but for sperm?

Yes and no. It's shaped different and sits at the cervix where a menstrual cup sits lower. I tried a moon cup to conceive and ended up with bacterial vaginosis so I wouldn't recommend.
The ferti lily stays in for 20 minutes to an hour. Some people leave it overnight but I didn't because of what happened with the moon cup. I covered mine in pre-seed because I shoved in it.

The first time I used a Fertilily I got my BFP
But I did also do some other things different so hard to say.
I found it easy to use and it can't do any harm though

Hi ladies! Afraid I'm hopping on your Fertilily thread here! 😉 Does anyone else have a little leakage after putting their cup in at all?? Worried it's all gonna ooze out 💦💦

I'm also looking to buying one. 8 months after mc and still nothing.

Thinking to try dtd every two days rather than daily. Who knows what might work
