Opks... What time to do them??

Hi all, I'm trying opks this month - 2nd Cycle ttc #2

What time of the day is best to take the opks for most accurate reading??

Dependent on work and stuff I do around 10am and 5pm. First wee of the day is useless so
Don't do it then.

I usually try about the same time as pp has said. Don't use fmu and try spacing them out like late morning, early evening:)

I see... I'm doing it around 1pm.

I'm only doing 1 a day for now as I'm on cd6 but when should I bump up to 2 per day?

Out of curiosity why shouldn’t they be done with FMU? That’s when I’ve been doing them as the lines seem to be stronger 🙈 worried I’ve had false results now!

From what I've read, your body produces the hormones in the morning so testing between 11am-8pm is best supposedly

I do mine at midday

I do them at about 1pm but when I’m approaching ovulation it’ll be about 1pm and 7pm. Then on the day of my peak I will do perhaps 10, 2, 6 and 10 to pinpoint my peak exactly!

I do mine with FMU. An then when I see the line getting bolder closer to ovulation days. I then test 2pm as well.

I think you can use FMU..it’s just usually LH peaks over night but it can take 3-6 hours to show in urine. So therefore FMU may not give you your strongest line. But likely at 1-2pm it will be your peak surge. But the surge has already taken place but it takes a while to get into the urine to show on a stick..hope they makes sense.

For example today I used FMU. Got strongest line I’ve had on CD13. It was equal to control line. So knew it was start of my surge. But I tested 2pm and as expected my test line was bolder than control line.
