TTC in January

Pretty sure I’m out - AF any day now. Who else will be TTC this January?

Still waiting for AF but think I’m probably out too for this month, which was our first time TTC

If so, we’ll be TTC this month & I’ll actually be measuring BBT & using OPKs whereas I haven’t previously!

I did last month (also my first month). Used those clear blue expensive ones and I just got loads of empty smileys and then one static smiley and that was it! We ended up doing it the day before the static smiley and one day after (and days prior to that too). Clearly not enough!

With my firstborn I did it once that month and it worked first time (no kidding 🤦🏻‍♀️)

Excited for us getting all our ovulation stuff ready 💪 will make our January more interesting. Plus October babies rule.

Was really hoping for a BFP in December but no luck.
I'm trying the "hands off" approach this month. No ovulation testing or BBT. Just sex every other day from now (cycle day 5) for the next two weeks.

I'm currently 11dpo but had a bfn yesterday, so impatiently waiting for af.

Currently TTC #2 cycle 1 and I'm around 5DPO but I think we possibly missed it. Will test around 9/10th January and then ready to start again if negative.

My first is 2.5 and he took 3 cycles to conceive although only 2 of those cycles I used OPKs.

Hoping I actually ovulate this month as I'm fairly sure I didn't in December. AF is here right now. I'll use OPKs and have stocked up on conceive-plus vitamins for DP & I.

My AF was weird the cycle just gone. I was four days late, which obviously raised my hopes massively. But then it arrived 😩

I'm still BFing my 16-month-old DD, and wondering if it's hindering conception! Do you mind if I ask how often you feed?

My local BF support group has assured me you can still conceive while lactating, but I'm thinking of cutting down a bit on the daytime feeds to see if it helps. Been trying for six cycles now.

Mines been so strange this month just a few days of spotting and hardly any blood. I did have my booster on 27th so I think this might be a reason also started conception vitamins. We did have unprotected sex last night and a few days ago but no way I was fertile then so I'm not even entertaining the idea that I could be pregnant. Just waiting to see if it has finished now and then we can get on to the fun bit of trying! 🤣

We are going to start trying for baby #3 this month too! I'm using an ovulation calculator app which helped to conceive baby number 2 last year. Good luck to you all 😊

I had my booster on Dec 19th, and also randomly took some soy isoflavones a couple of times which may have affected things.

@EishetChayile we still feed pretty regularly at night but have cut down in the day

We’ve had a bit of a break from TTC DC2, but restarted this month. Due around the 15th of Jan, not anticipating it to be a speedy process after years trying for DS

We’re TTC in Jan too. Been using clue for aaages now , initially just to track periods but it’s now quite handy for figuring out the fertility window - although v much feeling like I’m still pretty clueless on it all!

Also bf. So hard to stop when you don’t have the energy, which you don’t have because you’re tired from them feeding!

My periods are pretty regular so my plan is to start cutting down once pregnant. Obviously if it takes a while I’ll think again.

TTC: trying to conceive BF: breastfeeding DTD: doing the deed (sex) BD: baby dance (also sex) EWCM: egg white cervical mucus (when your body is telling you it’s most fertile) OT: ovulation test

Think that’s it! Also took me ages to work them all out 😂

I worked out AF is aunty flow. I work in healthcare and call it LMP (last mentral period).

How’s everyone doing? 8dpo here - not sure how much longer I will be able to wait before testing
