Temping… when in cycle do I start?

Hello,

Cycle 2 for me and decided to try temping as I had some odd opks last cycle. Would like to get a better idea of when I actually ovulate.

I’m CD1. AF came today. When do I start taking my temps?

Also when do I start taking EPO?

I'm not sure about the epo as I've never taken it, but for bbt you start on CD1 when af starts :) take your temperature at the same time every day before you get out of bed and move around or your chart will be off. If you've missed CD1 just start as soon as. Hope this helps 😊

Temping is a really good way to confirm ovulation, you should start on day 1 of your cycle but I'd say day 2 is fine too. Are you using a particular app? I'm using natural cycles and really rate it 😊

I missed CD1 but started today on CD2. I’m also using natural cycles

It's really interesting, though easy to get a bit obsessed with it!

Last cycle I got 3 days of peak opks both line and CB static smileys. I don’t think you should get 3 days and then I got EWCM days after my peak opks and during my peak opks it was white lotion like cm so was abit confusing. That’s why I thought I’ll start temping and get a better idea of my ovulation dates

Yeah I find cm and opks can be a good indication but hard to actually pinpoint. At least when you see your temp increase and stay up you know it's happened. I am not long off the pill so a few times I've had a few false alarms with ovulation, so good to get confirmation!
