So we decided over Christmas to try for baby number 2. Due to ovulate Monday……tested positive for covid today. DH and DS negative so now I have been relegated to the spare room. We DTD 2 days before my app said I was fertile and then again the first day so it’s highly unlikely. I’m 41 in a couple of months and we’ve agreed to only try until December so just feeling rubbish that month 1 is already done. Not sure the reason of my post, just feel a bit rubbish about it all.

Ah, that’s shit. I found myself taking a pregnancy test and a LFT at the same time this week, glaring at one and cheering another on… (A line on neither.)

Since you haven’t ovulated yet, can DH slip a special delivery under the door along with a calpol syringe or turkey baster? Needs must and all that. Hands, face, space, self insemination, as the slogan goes.

Given your age I would be asking DH to take one for the team if you both mask up?!

@Tippexy we’ve said that we’re going to let nature take its course given my age. We’ve got a DS already so if it doesn’t happen it’s not meant to be. We were lucky first time round so here’s hoping. I might suggest we just DTD on ovulation day anyway!

It's so frustrating when life gets in the way of TTC! If you're not clinically vulnerable though I'd skip the foreplay and be DTD from behind! 😂 x

@stuntbubbles I was tempted to ask for a special delivery 😂 really don't want to lose a month, started last December, and after losing our baby in September I'm getting desperate!!

Came to suggest the same as stuntbubbles, if he wants to keep his distance I'd be asking for a special delivery! There are a few threads on self-insemination.

@TiredbutTrying41 crap timing isn't it!! Don't want to waste any months! We officially started trying last December but I'd had a miscarriage before that, fell pregnant in July but unfortunately had to Tfmr as baby was very poorly, this is our third cycle since starting again so just want to get on with it!

Think we've decided he's going to do his business then right at the very end come on masked up and stick it in 😂😂 how very romantic ttc is haha! Can't believe I just wrote that lol. Good luck if you decide to go for it! X

Neither of us have Covid but might ask DP to do this to spice things up, TTC homework sex is stressful, might as well add a lol

Hi @Bellesjp I’ve been so poorly!
We DTD the first day my app said I was fertile and not managed it since!
It’s my birthday next Friday so going to test then as we are away the weekend unless AF arrives before then. When are you due?
I very highly doubt we’ve caught on this month but who knows?

@Bellesjp how are you doing? I’m still not feeling great but hey ho. Pregnancy tests arrived today from Amazon. Got the frer and the digital blue ones. Agreed with DH will test next Friday. So will be 11dpo by then. We’re going away for my birthday so need to know if I can drink or not!

Hey OP! Do you track ovulation using OPKs or temping at all or just going by the app?

My app has been wrong with my fertile window 2 cycles in a row and my cycles are pretty regular so thought that’s worth mentioning.

I’ve only been ttc for 2 cycles but I’ve been tracking my periods for 8 cycles (so it also tracked ovulation).

My app said I would ovulate CD14 and I got my peak at CD20 and then the following cycle my app said I would ovulate CD17 and I got my peak CD13. If I went by my app I would have missed my fertile window both times.

So if you did ovulate earlier or ovulate later than your app says then you may still have caught it before you got covid or have time after isolation is over is my point
