  1. start your chart with day 1 of your period
  2. make sure you take temp at same time every morning - (beat first thing before moving/drinking anything)
  3. usually- after period until ovulation day (follicular phase), temps are low and if you ovulate, you will see a rise in temp (luteal phase) until next period (or if pregnant, temps will continue to stay high)

Hope that helps! You should also consider home tests for LH hormone as this peaks before ovulation and can give you an idea of when your fertile week is.

Just looking at your temps it looks like you might have ovulated day 30, seeing the sharp rise in temp after then. Are your cycles usually long or am I reading it wrong? Of course it will only be accurate if you're taking first thing in the morning before you're up and about etc.

Here's my chart from last cycle. It was long because I'd just come off the pill. I ovulated day 30 where you see my temp then rises and stays above my baseline until my period when it drops back down. I'm new to charting BBT but find it interesting! It says fertile for a big chunk of it only because it was my first cycle and was getting to know my body, and I was using it in contraception mode until I'd come off some other meds.
