Obese and wanting to ttc

I have been trying to conceive for almost a year now, and after a difficult time with a CP a few months ago, I ate way too much and gained a few stone :(! Since gaining weight my periods have stopped, though I’ve always had irregular cycles anyways. I am trying to start the new year getting healthy, I have around 4 stone to lose! Anyone else? Unsure whether to go to the GP about my lack of periods, as I know it’s probably weight related and not sure I need other tests. I know I’ve done this to myself, and in such a short period of time too! Literally less than 6 months! I’ve began eating healthy the last couple of days, so hoping I can quickly lose some weight and get back into a position where I can ttc!

Worth making a routine appointment just to be sure and put your mind at ease.

I'm not TTC but I have other health issues. I'm reluctant to go to the GP just yet because I know they will take one look at me and tell me to go away and come back once I've lost 4 stone!

I'm doing a VLCD currently and if things don't improve after I've lost a couple of stone, I'm going to the GP.

Thank you both! @Xmasiscancelledagainthats my exact worry! I’m doing the same, I’ve ordered to start a VLCD and going to try and loose some weight! I was hoping I could lose atleast one before taking a visit to the GP!
