Could I have some advice please? I had my BFP on Tuesday at 10 dpo, I tested again yesterday and there was a far darker and more visible line. But I've tested again this morning and the line is no darker and if anything, is a little fainter. I've tried to attach a picture so hope you can see it. The top test is from today when I am 12 dpo, both tests done with FMU. Does this look like a chemical pregnancy? I'm so devastated and believing the worst as with my DD the line got progressively darker each day. Any success stories from people who experienced this? If this is a CP I swear I'll never test early again!

The lines look the same to me. hCG doubles every 48 hours so there won't necessarily be darker progression on a daily basis. Try to stop testing (hard, I know) and ask your GP for an hCG blood test. Best of luck to you!

@Squiff70 thank you so much for responding. I agree, especially now this morning's test has been sitting a while, the lines look exactly the same as each other. I won't test again until Saturday which is when AF is due anyway and will be 48 hours so hopefully there will be some progression by then. I don't want to bother my dr's this week as I've seen posts on local fb groups saying it's so busy and they can't get through etc but will contact them next week if the situation is the same.

Hi @salimali28 I know it's hard but try and leave a few days between tests, then it should do progression better, even then sometimes the dye in 2 tests might not be the same! Don't panic, once you've had a few positives I'd try and step away as you will drive yourself crazy, trust me I've been there! Wishing you all the best ✨

@Bellesjp thank you so much for your advice. I'm definitely trying to keep away from the tests so none done today! I will do one tomorrow as that's the day AF is due and it will have been 48 hours since the last test so hopefully will see some progression. If all okay tomorrow I won't test again bar one digital to check the number of weeks goes up. It's so hard not to become obsessive!

@salimali28 I know the struggle!! I have to not have tests in the house or I'll use them all lol. Good luck for testing tomorrow x

@Bellesjp that's my problem I think, I have a really good store from TTC for a while 🙈 thank you so much.

@salimali28 I think your lines look great. It's such a nerve wracking time. You'd think after seeing the line, you'd be over the moon, but it just starts a different worry doesn't it! Fingers crossed for you!
