Fertility consultation

Hi all, looking for some advice re something I have been thinking about for a while. My partner and I are very keen to have children, though probably not for a couple of years. I am 27 and he is 29. For some time, I have been worried about infertility. At present there is nothing to suggest we will have problems conceiving, and we have not been trying. However, I had anorexia between the ages of 13 and 18, and I know this can affect fertility.

I am wondering if there would be any point in booking a private fertility consultation? I have seen clinics offering packages including blood tests/pelvic scans/semen analysis. They are expensive but we could afford it without putting a strain on ourselves. It would be mainly for peace of mind, as we don't plan to start trying for a couple of years. The anxious part of me thinks there could be a problem, and if so I would like to know about it now so we can try to deal with it.

I suppose I am asking whether this seems like a sensible thing to do, or totally paranoid/a waste of money?
