BFP after light/normal period?

Hi there! My first post here :)

My DH and I have been trying (not very proactively, though making more effort over last few months!) for about 6 months. This month I felt quite hopeful but then got what I assumed was my period over the last 4 days or so. However, today I felt absolutely dog tired and for no particular reason other than that, took a pregnancy test, which came back with a faint but clear positive line.

I am trying not to get my hopes up as I know this could be leftover hcg after an early miscarriage - but the 'period' wasn't super heavy and didn't have clots.

I know the general advice here will be 'go to your GP' (I will try tomorrow!) but I am just curious to know - anyone else had period-like bleeding and gone on to have a normal pregnancy? or is it much more likely to be post mc?

I did. I didn't have a clue that I was already pregnant.

Yes this happened to me in my first pregnancy.
I was tracking my cycles and actively trying. AF arrived and I assumed I was out. Then I realised it disappeared after only 3 days. Tested and i was pregnant.

I think it was implantation bleeding. I went on to have a totally normal, healthy pregnancy.
