2WW - How are you feeling?

Lozzza90 · 28/12/2021 17:38

Hey Ladies,

Anyone else in their 2WW and want to share their updates and get through this dreaded wait? Here's mine 😊

Last AF: 05/12/2021

Ovulation (peak) 19/12/2021
(Used clear blue digital test and now bought the more advanced one but was too log to use this time round) *

DTD* - on peak day and a few times during the lead up to on flashing smiley days but always feel it's not enough. (OH is TP1 diabetic and it's a bit difficult for us to dtd on the right times)

Since Boxing Day I've been a bit off which was approx 7DPO. I had a funny turn and felt twinges but mainly just sucky and felt off. I'm not a massive drinker but I've just not fancied it at all.

Today 28/12 (9DPO) - feeling off still, getting twinges in my belly as we speak, quite low down. I had a cup of coffee this morning and nearly spat it out as it tasted situating! I love my morning coffee! Boobs are a little tender too. That only started this evening and I feel incredibly warm.

My cycle varies from 26-31 days and I've been tracking it for years so I always go in average at 28 days.

I came off pill sept 2020, had my first period and then tried straight away for approx 7 months. We unfortunately put it on hold as I lost two close family members in a short period of time and my mind was else where of course.

We started again this month... hoooorayyyy! I'm 31 now and really hoping it's time for us! Eagerly waiting for the weekend to POAS but we all know easier said than done!

Im Googling and going mad on here and promised I wouldn't do it to myself again! Please ladies share your experiences with me and how you're all getting on! 🤞🏻😊 xx

Hi @Lozzza90! Thanks for making this thread, I am also 31 & we have decided to try for our first.

We started ttc this cycle for the first time ever but having recently come off the pill I don’t really know if we dtd at the ‘right’ time or not. AF came on December 8th for me so treated 19-24 as ovulation time but only had sex 3 times across those few days…

So I think I may be in the 2WW but have nobody else to talk to about it other than my partner who is even more clueless than I am Grin

Lozzza90 · 28/12/2021 17:53

@BlueSky57 haha my OH is terrible at all this! I feel like he thinks he can just do it any time and it'll happen but I try to talk to him about how our bodies work and it's like talking to a brick wall at times! Lol feel like I need to get out the kids books with diagrams and pictures! 🙄 it's all confusing to me as well and we've had a few stop and starts over the last year so hoping it's the time!

Thanks so much for replying! ❤️ It's lovely to hear from someone going through a similar time! How are you feeling about it all? I would love to say the 2ww gets better but it can be incredibly obsessive too and don't get me started on the Googling!!! Lol

Ok well it's not impossible for it happen first time round. my sister is a cracking example of this on her first try and immediately off the pill and I have 2 beautiful nieces from her!

It's just getting into the rhythm and learning your body, have you tired any ovulation kits or tracking cycle etc? Xx

OP posts:
BlueSky57 · 28/12/2021 18:03

@Lozzza90 yes, talking to him is exactly like that! He’s just very ‘it’ll happen when it happens’ about it all but I feel as though men never have the time-pressure feeling us women have at the back of our mind Blush

I think I feel ok about it all at the moment, as I am still so clueless I think Confused I have learned so much about my body since coming off the pill though but the Googling can take over a bit as you said! I think I may start to feel differently if AF comes, I’ll be disappointed but also determined to ‘do better’ next time if that is actually possible??

So far I’ve had a dull type ache all across my lower back since the time of my probable ovulation. Your sister’s story gives me hope but I imagine the odds are still very low at this point. I used an OPK to show I ovulated for the first time after coming off the pill which revealed I ovulated on November 25 but then I forgot to do it this month.

How are you feeling about everything at the moment? What kind of tracking do you do? X

Lozzza90 · 28/12/2021 18:22

@BlueSky57 same! It's a tough one, it's actually amazing what our bodies do. I was so clueless about it all too and I was like my body does what, that happens, how?! But as they say it is a miracle a suppose that our bodies can do this!

Ahh I'm so glad you said that.. since I hit late 29 to now, I honestly feel that ticking clock is there and I was never bothered about kids until then and then it just hit me and that want for this is so strong that it becomes all I can think about now!

Yeah I think every time she turns up is always a mixture of feelings and that's before you then start asking was it you, me, the wrong time, not meant to be! I would take every month to learn about yourself and how you work 😊 maybe start logging the periods so you know your average cycle length and where you are. That'll help with the fertile window. I use an app called P.D. (period diary) and then got the clear blue ovulation kit which also does the period tracking, ovulation and pregnancy test! I find their ovulations kits easy to use and very reassuring to see your body recognising what it's doing! Maybe give them a go? Xx

After reading mumsnet encouraging posts for a year, here goes my first tww attempt.

Ttc after 2 mc

  • never got a heartbeat with first mc so I had an indication to expect mc
  • with next time, got a healthy heartbeat at 7w, fell down from one stair the same day, and there was no heartbeat the next day. Last mc was exactly 1 year ago.

Been ttc since then but unable to do so and doubting vaccine side effects.

AF was due yesterday so only 1 day late. I have 0 pregnancy symptoms except for exhaustion, random shooting pain in one breast only (it was quite noticeable today when I was out walking). However I’m unsure if I can call this sore boobs symptoms as they don’t hurt much if I press.

The latest happening tonight, as I type from bed, is pressure / ache in cervix / rectum, going upto vagina. Unsure if AF is on its way or I really am lucky after one year of ttc.

Not to mention that I’ve already tested 3 times before AF due and twice after with FMU and sometimes in day, just caved in but all bfn. I did have some cramps like 5 days before AF due date which is normal.

Can’t stop thinking about this. Especially at night. Each month, I go crazy during tww wasting $$$ on expensive tests (they are more expensive at my location).

BlueSky57 · 28/12/2021 20:17

@Lozzza90 thank you, I may try one of those kits! I think it’s got to be worth a try anyway? Do you have any other recommendations of things we could try? We started taking the pre-conception his & hers supplements in November but I’m not sure they are doing a lot!!

@Catmom21 I’m sorry to hear about your previous losses. I hope you will get a BFP very soon! Your symptoms certainly sound interesting. I don’t have many symptoms at all so feel less hopeful unfortunately. I know what you mean too - every evening I stalk these message boards & Google until late at the moment. I’m trying to be calm & distract myself but it’s so hard isn’t it?

Xx

frenchie4002 · 28/12/2021 20:38

Hi all! Can I join? still (just about!) in the tww - af supposedly due tomorrow. I had a mmc in October and didn’t ovulate in November as hcg took a long time to leave my system. I’m Cd35 today which was my cycle length last month though now worrying I had another non ovulation cycle - idk why, overthinking I suppose. Had bad cramps around 10 days ago but 2 x bfn tests. Will see what tomorrow brings I suppose! Good luck girls and sorry @Catmom21 to hear of your losses xx

Lozzza90 · 28/12/2021 20:47

@BlueSky57 yeah absolutely. I think it's good for you to know what your body is doing as well and it does make it a bit easier to pin down the dates a little more with your best times and know what to expect and when to test etc. The advanced one records everything and stores it all for 6 months too so you can download it easily. But I used the digital cb one and it was just as good and that indicates 4 fertile days and your peak and it's a lot cheaper too. I started taking folic as well and I've always taken other vitamins. I would keep persevering with it all as they can't be doing any harm 😊 have you had fun learning all the code language for these threads too? I still try and get my head around it all!

@Catmom21 I'm so sorry to hear this! That must be so stressful and upsetting to go through this and I suppose each time you try it never gets any easier. I have not experienced this before but i truly hope this is the one for you and if you need to chat about anything at all on here, please do, we're all ears 😊 what else are you experiencing? I would always say (cliche I know) but you're not out until she's here ツ it's also my first posts on here as I've been watching them as well and always too scared to post as i blab on far too much sometimes! (sorry!) But I'm so happy both of you have replied!

It's so hard, I don't think anyone can really understand how we all feel right now but the optimism in me is saying come on girls, let's do this!

Soo I bought some first response and clear blue tests and I'm hanging in there right now to get through to at least Friday ish to test! I'm honestly wishing this Xmas period out the way, as if these inbetween days of Xmas/New Years weren't strange enough and making you down in the dumps! Xx

OP posts:
Lozzza90 · 28/12/2021 20:57

@frenchie4002 heyyyy! please do! 😊 hope you're feeling ok? Are you going to test again tomorrow morning or see what happens? It's so hard, I don't know how I haven't tested yet! I'm due Sunday and got some first response and cb tests coming tomorrow! I purposely didn't order them until late to have no choice and now it's all I can think about! Good luck for tomorrow! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 Xx

OP posts:
frenchie4002 · 28/12/2021 21:02

@Lozzza90 thank you! :) I'm just a bit stressed as had no period cramps as of yet normally get them a day before due my period.. just want my body back to normal so I can conceive again! Good idea, the resist to test early is so hard although apparently the first response can tell 6 days before you miss it! I think it depends on when the egg implanted. How long do you think you can hold out for? Keep us updated! xx

Lozzza90 · 28/12/2021 21:28

@frenchie4002 yeah I do too, always the night before or morning of and then bam she's here! Usually I get very bloated the day before as well and I get very cranky too so I'm hoping (and so is the OH) that I'm an absolute delight this weekend with good news and no AF in sight! 😂

Ha I know easier said than done, I feel like such a hypocrite saying don't test too early, relax, this and that but actually I'm itching to test myself and finding it so hard! I've got friends round all day/evening tomorrow and doubt I'll get the tests delivered in time for my first tipple of the day! Sooo that'll hopefully push me to Thursday at least which would be approx 4 days before AF due based on 28 days.... I want to hold out to Saturday, Sunday at least but yeah whether that happens or not is a different story 😂 xx

BlueSky57 · 29/12/2021 09:19

Hi @frenchie4002, sorry to hear about your loss, that must be so tough Flowers

@Lozzza90 ha! Yes I have had to learn all the abbreviations for this. I think I understand most of the important ones now after lurking here for a while!

I am quite confused this morning. Since my expected ovulation window I’ve had a dull ache across the lower part of my back on and off. Now it’s getting worse and I saw here it can be an early symptom of pregnancy but then last night I was up & down 4/5 times needing to pee too so now I’m wondering if I have a water infection? I don’t know what a water infection feels like either as I’ve never had one of those OR been pregnant so who knows? I know women need the toilet more as it makes sense later in pregnancy but surely not before you even get a BFP? I dislike all this 2WW waiting at the moment….

Lozzza90 · 29/12/2021 12:18

@BlueSky57 I know, it's honestly torture! Your mind just runs away with everything.

It's difficult to say what could and couldn't be pregnancy symptoms or indeed something else. With ovulation I generally tend to get a ping on either side so I know it's happened and then I know I'm usually 14 days after for period and pretty clockwork. Do you get anything with ovulation itself? I defo think if you start tracking what you do and even how you feel, along with your CM, bbt, moods etc you'll be much more settled in terms of knowing where you're at in the cycle and what your body is doing and what's normal for you but it's so difficult I know! It becomes so obsessive! I might do my temp next month (if this fails) with my clear blue monitor thing and see what happens! I wish I'd done that previously but I always forget!

The peeing constantly could be a good sign but I always find it becomes mind over matter and you start listening to absolutely everything your body does with every ping 😭 I've got twinges all over the show but I also have ibs so it's so hard to know! My boobs though, today.. put a bra on and it's like I had to squeeze them in and It's my usual go to comfy bra as well!

When is AF due for you? I'm holding out for Sunday but my tests showed up today! Ahhh just hid them upstairs so I don't see them in my face! Lol 😂 xx

OP posts:
Catmom21 · 29/12/2021 13:54

Thanks @Lozzza90 @BlueSky57 @frenchie4002 for listening. It’s good to know you don’t feel alone and someone understands.

Really need to break this testing too early and repeatedly habit. Guess it’s time to enjoy that end of year chocolate treats (I don’t drink so can’t say wine here). I was soo looking to getaway these days but I got what I “think “ was covid, lasted 2.5 weeks and then my husband for sure got it as he tested so we are in quarantine.
I am thinking if covid messed up my cycle.

BlueSky57 · 29/12/2021 16:03

@Lozzza90 I usually get a lovely stabbing pain in one ovary when I ovulate. I definitely got it in the right ovary this month but didn’t make a note of when and now can’t remember the exact day! Next month I will definitely pay more attention and do everything you suggested though. I’m quite a dramatic, anxious person so I think a lot of my symptoms are probably in my head but this is all so new! AF is due either January 4th or 6th for me according to my app, I am not sure of the exact date as everything is still settling down after coming off the pill. Maybe my ovulation window prediction was not even accurate this month Hmm I think only time will tell & I am hoping I’ll be more in tune with my body as things start to regulate again.

@Catmom21 I’m sorry to hear you’re isolating, I don’t think all this Covid business is helping anyone right now. I am a bit afraid of getting pregnant and then having to do everything alone if new hospital restrictions are introduced again - sorry I’m an anxious person!!

Cee20 · 29/12/2021 20:27

Hi all, hope you don't mind if I join!

Currently on 10DPO with AF due on Friday. Fees like all I've done today is google symptoms and read threads on here - driving myself a little crazy!

Definitely agree with cycle tracking - I've been doing it for a little over 3 months now and have really learnt a lot about when to expect my fertile window, AF and what's usual for me symptom wise. Worth trying Smile

@Lozzza90 can you share link of specific CB ovulation kit that you use? Tia

I’m getting period like cramps now CD 33/34 so guessing AF on its way!

Catmom21 · 30/12/2021 01:31

Question for all of you: CD 1 is when you get the full flow of period or does spotting count at day 1?

BlueSky57 · 30/12/2021 08:49

Welcome @Cee20 & @Sunrise321! Flowers

@Catmom21 I am pretty sure spotting counts as CD1!

I caved & tested this morning… I have quite a lot of CM to go with my lower back ache & had some pulling in my stomach yesterday. I am CD23 & it was negative. Is that too early maybe or am I just wishful thinking? Hmm

Cee20 · 30/12/2021 09:42

@Catmom21 I would count spotting as CD1 too.

@BlueSky57 I definitely think it could just be too early. I regularly see posts for people who don't test positive until much later on. Don't lose hope Smile

@Catmom21 so I used the clear blue ovulation sticks when we tried last year and started again with them, but I just bought the more advanced one which I'm starting if this time fails. It's sets all reminders and allows you to track everything and even has 4 pregnancy tests with it as well. The sticks work just as well though, would defo recommend to see how your body works and keep on top of the tracking too. Attached some pics for you ツ

So ladies, I caved and tested at 12dpo today! bfn! 😭 But I've felt so off these last few days, really sore boobs. (I never get sore boobs with af, i just get cramps the night before she's here) I've been getting pings and twinges all over the show the last 2-3 days when I first posted and I still feel queasy. Plus I had my favourite morning drink, a caramel latte and it tasted rank! My OH said it was fine and just me! I was so sure this time that we'd done it this time! I've even had really odd dreams the past few days too. But my periods vary in cycle form 26-31 days so I always work on average of 28 which would mean due Sunday 02/01. I refuse to believe I'm out but it's so hard. I'm supposed to go out for a little bit tonight but I feel so down in the dumps right now!

Anyone caved today and tested? Xx

2WW - How are you feeling?

Catmom21 · 31/12/2021 13:22

Hey @Lozzza90
Feels weird leaving 2021 in the in between state - I can’t even stop thinking about this. It was hard explaining to my husband about 2ww. Men really can’t understand why we kinda keep counting each day and symptom spotting but one can’t help it. It’s tough!

I definitely caved in on 29th, bought super expensive 6d early CB test and ofcourse big fat BFN right in my face. CD 36 today and I’ve kind of accepted my fate and expecting AF or no AF / no ovulation for whatever reason.

Soo tempted to text again but afraid as I don’t want to face another bfn, toppped by ‘why I kee testing when I know it’s not happening” feeling.

I’ve sore back, mild AF kind of cramps at night, thigh muscles pain, and sore boobs (left boob aches 9x more than right ) and then I’ve been stupidLy assuming that my nipples are larger (probably in my head only).

Fed up of symptom spotting and thinking I’m making a fool out of myself.

Lola1990 · 31/12/2021 13:56

I just tested at 12dpo with FRER and negative 😫 I can feel period pains so taking this for sure that I’m out. 🙁

hoped 2021 would be my year but guess not. Hopefully 2022. Starting to feel like it’ll never happen.
