So the 3rd was on day 9 of your cycle, and the 11th was day 17.
You usually ovulate around day 14 with a 28 day cycle, so how frequent are your periods ?

Suprima · 25/12/2021 08:54

It could be both of them, to be honest without knowing your cycle. Older sperm from this first encounter could have lived until ovulation in your body- but if you ovulate later, could be the second.

Suprima · 25/12/2021 08:55

Well not both- either of them.

Newbiemg · 25/12/2021 09:31

You won’t know unless you know when you ovulated or have an idea of when you usually do.

For example I ovulated around CD20 and then the following month around CD14 so those two months for me were completely different.

If you know you have a regular cycle and you ovulate around the same day each month you can maybe work it out but otherwise I think you will need to wait and get a paternity test.

Do you know if you have default cycles and how many days? Do you track them at all?

Sending you all the best and hope it all works out ok for you Flowers

Newbiemg · 25/12/2021 09:31

Regular cycles not default *

The 3rd was day 7 and the 11th was day 15.

Could be either…

Tippexy · 25/12/2021 09:34

Although more likely to be the 11th.

GoodnightGrandma · 25/12/2021 09:58

Sorry, got my days in a month mixed up !
More likely to be the 11th.

FallonCarringtonWannabe · 25/12/2021 10:01

As everyone else has said, it depends on your cycles and when you ovulate. Dont work from the front of the cycle, work from the back. You ovulate 24 days before your first day of your period usually. Whats your normal cycle length?

Surely you know which one was a contraception failure though?

Newbiemg · 25/12/2021 10:03

You posted another post to say it was the 5th and 11th but this post says 3rd and 11th. Was it the 3rd or the 5th because it could make a difference too? If you have regular 28 day cycle and ov on CD14 then both the 5th and 11th would be in your fertile window. The 3rd could be too but it could also be slightly too early.

Really hard to say without knowing your cycles.

You need to tell us how long your periods are op.

Halli2020 · 25/12/2021 10:06

Unless you did ovulation tests you won't know..

Do you know when your predicted ovulation day is or how many days your cycle is? For example is it 28 days usually give or take a day?

If it was the average 28 days and you ovulate on the average CD14 then…

3rd would be CD8
11th would be CD16

So the 3rd would be 7 days before ovulation
11th would be 2 days after

I would assume from those dates you didn’t ovulate on CD14 as the 3rd is likely too early and the 11th although possible probably too late.

So without knowing the day you ovulated it really is too hard to know.

Because say you ovulated early around CD10 which some people do then it’s going to be the 3rd.

If you ovulated later after CD14 it’s going to be the 11th.

Do you know when you’re next period was supposed to be due?

I think unfortunately you are going to have to wait and take a paternity test or wait until your scan and the doctors may be able to give you a better idea of a conception date then.

Good luck Flowers

Fgs. Yes 14! I really must wear my glasses more often

FallonCarringtonWannabe · 25/12/2021 11:55

Op, what was the first day of your last three periods. The length of the periods themselves doesnt matter. It is the cycle length that is going to help.

But also, do you actually want to continue with this pregnancy? You dont have to.

CagneyNYPD1 · 25/12/2021 12:00

Most likely the guy on the 11th. But the first guy is still a possibility if you ovulate early in your cycle.

That said, an STD test will be really important now. If you are going to continue the pregnancy, a DNA test with both men will be required to determine paternity for certain. It would be wise to be upfront and honest with both men.

Yes agreed this is important to know you have options.

If you do want to go ahead with the pregnancy I would think about whether you’re happy to do it as a single mother. Forget about the two men for a minute and think if I have to do this alone am I happy to because then whoever the father turns out to be it won’t matter. Make it about you and the baby for now. Would having this baby make you happy. If it would then I think that needs to be your focus to make sure you have a healthy pregnancy.

I hope you get the outcome you want but I honestly think it’s going to be a total guess if we tell you who the father is from the info you’ve given us.

PoleFairy · 25/12/2021 12:08

You need to know cycle length! Not how long your periods are! My cycles are 26 days for example but my period is 4days

Hankat1990 · 25/12/2021 12:39

I believe my cycle is 22 days and period lasts about 4

OP posts:
Hankat1990 · 25/12/2021 12:51

I actually not sure my cycle sure it's 28 days

If you get one of those period app (there are loads like flo, clue, ovia) and put in your last couple of months of when your periods were, it can show when you probably ovulated. Won't necessarily be accurate though as it can vary each month. If you have short cycles than the early date is just as likely.
