TWW covid booster

I'm in two minds! I am eligible for my booster vaccine but I'm also 3dpo in my two week wait. Has anyone had their booster in tww and still got pregnant? I just don't want the vaccine to affect implantation as I know the vaccine can cause a temperature. Not sure whether to wait until my period is due but then I could obviously catch covid in the meantime 🙈 so stressful! Anyone else in the same situation?!

I am in the same situation but slightly ahead, 7dpo. Just had my booster in the last hour, my thinking was:

There’s a chance I’m not pregnant and i can’t put it off forever while ttc. If I am pregnant it should have implanted by now but not actually using my nutrients just the yolk sac so minimal impact.

As for the high temp I didn’t get any side effects with dose 1 or 2 plus I have a DC who gives my lots of bugs and illnesses (not covid) so who knows.

I just wish I was pregnant already and in the 2nd trimester as I wouldn't think twice then! Have you had any symptoms yet? This is our 4th month trying and it would be a lovely end to the year but then if not, at least I can just have my booster and drink on nye! Haha
Can you test before Xmas day? It's just my luck that I'm due to test next Monday at the earliest so can't drink on Christmas again! Hope I am so I haven't missed out for no reason 😂

@Hopesandrainbows I’m in a similar situation too! I think I’m around 2dpo, have my booster booked for tomorrow.

I’ve been ttc for about 12 months now though so not very optimistic about this being our month whether I get the booster or not. Think I’d kick myself if I didn’t have it, caught Covid then AF arrived anyway. So I’ve decided to have mine!

Sorry I can’t answer your original question - I don’t personally know anyone who has had the vaccine and still got pregnant that month but hopefully there’ll be others on here who have so it will help you to put your mind at rest!🙂

@Hopesandrainbows trying to hold off testing until Christmas Day as I tend to get early positives but I drive myself crazy testing 🙈🤣 so yes plan is to test on the morning

Currently have a bit of a sore arm but I had that with the first two. I’m so tired just had a nap so I’m hoping this is positive signs ekkk

Ooo good luck for Christmas day testing! At least if you aren't, then you can get drunk and celebrate so not all bad but obviously it would be amazing to be so fingers crossed for you!x

Same boat. Booster booked for 29th - I should know by then. If AF comes then will definitely go. Otherwise I’m not sure. I wouldn’t normally hesitate but DP is a bit weird about it. It’s frustrating though.

Yes, I'm in the same situation where I will if I come on AF but if I am pregnant I don't know whether it will just add to my 1st trimester anxieties xx

I didn’t last till Christmas Day hahaha, very typical me! I think I’m going crazy and it’s early but can you see what I can see?

I just had mine at 7dpo. I think pregnant women are a priority group now so I’m happy to have it if pregnant.

I had to have a chest X-ray 3 days ago too (the timing this month!). I think I’m a bit more relaxed about it as when I was 6 months pregnant with DS I had to have a chest X-ray and QC Scan as they were worried about a pulmonary embolism. DS is 3 now and completely fine.

I had my booster the day before ovulation and am now pregnant . My temps were a bit odd during the TWW (generally oddly lower than usual, though with a temp spike on DPO7) but evidently implantation still happened fine.

I think better to get it out of the way in the TWW rather than waiting and then getting a BFP and having to worry about whether to get it in the first trimester?

@chunkymonkey the picture is a little dark to see but I think I can just about see a faint positive?! Are you going to do another tomorrow morning to see??
Fingers crossed for you! 2 months in a row I've had a fake positive on clear blue 🙄 negative but then the dye must have ran as 30 mins later it was a line so as long as its positive within 5 mins it is! 🙂🥳

I've made the decision to just wait until Monday when I test and if I am pregnant (woohoo!), ill then let my GP know and see if they can guarantee that I will get Pfizer somewhere as I heard that's safer?! Though I know there are plenty of false rumours. Husband had moderna yesterday and today has felt rubbish and headachy so that's definitely influenced my decision. At least I have the 1st and 2nd jab already so it is just the booster now but will get it no matter what my result is next week I think.

Ahh ttc and first trimester bring on enough anxiety as it is! My anxiety is now through the roof!

Hey! I had my booster two days ago when I was 5 dpo. I wasn’t sure either but I asked my local midwife service and they advised me to get it. They said if I got a temp to take paracetamol to keep it down. Luckily I had nothing other than a sore arm. Have you had any reactions with your others? Xxx

I got my booster at about 12dpo. I'm currently 17dpo (cycle day 34) and no sign of af. My cycle is usually 28-32 days long, but it's not unheard of for it to go to 35 days. I'm going to test on Christmas morning, so will update you about the effect of the booster!

If it helps at all, I had Pfizer for my first two and Moderna for my booster. I didn't get a fever or anything with my booster, just a very sore arm!

Not my booster but I got my second jab in my tww mainly because I didn't want to anxiety of having to make the decision of having it if I knew I was pregnant...little did I know I'd have to make that decision anyway 😅

And I did get pregnant that cycle, am now 22 weeks so I'd recommend getting it out the way personally obviously it's a personal choice 😊

Had my booster yesterday at 2dpo I was very wary but figured just aswell get it out of the way, I've got a sore arm and small headache and slight temp but I'm taking paracetamol to keep it down, hopefully it won't impact anything.

I have had my booster and personally would have had it no matter what time of my cycle it fell, but it does help to read your experiences and know not to feel guilty or think it’s impacting ttc too much! I am also anxious about this. Its causing me concern as to whether to avoid doing the booster during the tww. Anyone else able to shed any more light on this?
