IVF after vasectomy

Hi all,

Just looking for some IVF realistic advise. I am 37 and my husband had a vasectomy 4 years ago. We have decided we would like another baby.

We have had an initial consultation and decided on ivf rather than vasectomy reversal. We have our first tests all booked in this week. Feeling very nervous as been wanting this for a few years.

Does anyone know how long it takes from first appointment to sperm extraction and then ivf? I just have no idea how long each step takes. We got our appointments so quick so far. Just no idea if we are talk a couple of months/6 months or more.

(We are paying privately and wow trying to take each payment one day at a time).

Would love any information or advise on the process, feels so daunting.

Thanks 😊

Hi, no real advice on IVF, we have booked in for a reversal. You may get more help on the infertility board where there are others going through IVF. Good luck

I think it depends on your clinic's waiting times, but it should be less than 6 months. Did you get your results back yet?
