TTC Progesterone?

Hi ladies, just after some advice.

In May I had a miscarriage at 5w+2, then 6 weeks later in June I had an eptopic pregnancy at 6w.
I was given methotrexate so was told not to ttc for 3 months and was on the pill for the duration.
My cycle has returned to normal over the past couple of months and me and my OH are ready to try again.
What I'm wondering is, has anyone had any success with using progesterone while ttc?
I'm in Scotland but have seen on TV that in England, women who have had miscarriages or bleeding in the first trimester will be offered progesterone. Is this given in Scotland too?
I was told if I ttc again I'd be given an early scan due to the risk of another eptopic, so that settles my worry a little but was wondering if I'd be offered progesterone too?
Thanks for any advice :)

Hi Op I didn’t want to read and run. Firstly I am so sorry for your losses, it’s really tough. I had a MMC in May and 2 chemical pregnancies since then. We had our first consultation with a fertility consultant on the 08th of December. She has prescribed me double dose folic acid and cyclogest, which is a progesterone supplement. I started these 2 days after ovulation. I will continue to take 1 a day until my period comes (due Christmas Day). If I am lucky enough to have another BFP then I need to double the dose until 16 weeks pregnant. All the fertility tests so far have come back fine. We will try this approach for 2 cycles before she has suggested we move to IVF.

@hopefull1981 thank you, and I'm sorry for your loss' too.
It's horrible being so hopeful then so heartbroken.
That sounds positive and I hope you get your bfp soon! I think because I've had a loss twice and not 3 times, I haven't been offered anything but I wonder if I do get a bfp that I'll be offered it up until the 16 weeks as you say. I guess I'll just need to wait and see. Good luck :) thank you for replying
