TTC and periods gone weird

Hi all
Wonder if anyone has a similar experience... conceived DC1 relatively easily, now 2.5 years old. Started trying for no2 this year, had chemical pregnancy in June, stopped trying for a few months for various reasons.
Tried again in October and was convinced I was pregnant, but negative test and period came on time but unusually long and quite heavy for 7 days (usually just heavy for 2-3 days).
Meanwhile was pretty ill with chest infection + on two courses of antibiotics, so didnt DTD again until last day of antibiotics (almost certainly after ovulation).
Had negative tests (confirmed by blood test today) but period was a week late and is very light. Never had that before... also sort of dull ache down below for several days, a bit moody and tender boobs (I never usually get these symptoms with periods).

Given my periods are usually v regular, am a bit worried what's causing this and worried fertility is falling off a cliff. Am 38. Has anyone had similar and is there anything you'd recommend in terms of vitamins or diet that have helped regulate periods?
