Steady smiley and DTD

I forgot to test the day before my predicted ovulation and on the day of. I tested day after predicted and DTD that day, and the following day. Is there a chance a steady smiley could come up after ovulation, so I may have missed the window this month?

Hello @redxlondon when you tested the day after your predicted ovulation did you get a static?

Any other signs of ovulation like ewcm, pains etc?

I know last month I was tracking my ovulation via an app and it had my predicted day as CD14 but I got what I think was a positive OPK and ewcm on CD20 so I believe I ovulated later in my cycle than the app predicted.

This month is my 1st month actually ttc and I’m also testing with the CB digital and still on flashing smileys at CD11. App now predicting my ovulation to be on CD15 so I need to wait to see if that matches up as last month it didn’t.

You could potentially ovulate earlier or later than predicted on the app so depending on your cycle length and what CD you are on and how regular previous cycles have been you could keep testing if you don’t think you caught your fertile window.

Another thing is to track BBT that way you can confirm when you have ovulated but if you already ovulated it would be too late this cycle I think. I haven’t tried this yet.

Yes, I tested a few days too early and got a flashing, missed two days then got a static. I guess I’m a bit confused what the static means and if it could appear after ovulation.

Ok so the flashing smiley detects a rise in oestrogen which are supposed to be your high fertile days and the static smiley detects your LH surge which is your peak fertility and you would usually ovulate 12-36 hours after the static smiley

So I think it’s good to dtd during flashing smileys but your most fertile period I believe is once you get static as that should be right before ovulation. Hope that helps!

So if you dtd on the day you got the static or the day after or a few days before it then you have most likely caught the right time just before you ovulated Good luck!
