Ovulation post miscarriage

Hi all,

unfortunately I had to have medical management of miscarriage on 15th November, 2 weeks later I had to have surgical management as pregnancy was retained! It’s been two weeks since the surgery and the last few days I’ve finally stopped bleeding! I had a negative pregnancy today but had so right lower discomfort, so I thought I’d do a clear blue ovulation test and it came back with a static smiley face! I was shocked to say the least! Is this ovulation or could it just be a mix up???

has anyone else conceived straight away post miscarriage without getting a perilous before?

Hello @Melcro

Sorry I’m not able to answer your question but wanted to give you a bump so hopefully someone can help you.

So sorry to hear about your mc and wishing you all the best Flowers

Hi @Melcro, I had a medically managed MMC at the beginning of November. I found OPK’s weren’t reliable for me as they were still showing positive despite a negative pregnancy test. I started using Ovusense again once the bleeding stopped to track BBT and it confirmed ovulation on CD29.

Unfortunately AF has arrived for me exactly 2 weeks after ovulation but I have read stories on here of people conceiving within the same cycle.

Wishing you the best of luck but make sure you don’t put too much pressure on yourself Flowers

@Melcro Sorry for your loss x
I had a similar issue in that after my ERPC I had a verrry faint frer positive even after prior negatives on normal tests and it was just my hcg going down slowly. But it is possible to ovulate and get pregnant quickly after a miscarriage so fingers crossed this is the case for you x

Hi @Melcro. I've come on here to write something very similar. Firstly, so sorry for your loss. I also had a medically induced miscarriage on the 30th November and my bleeding stopped completely by last Friday. Today, I've had loads of ewcm, so much more than I'd have on a normal cycle! And I'm wondering if it's too early to be ovulating or not. Are you hoping to try again straight away?
