Cycle whatever - still trying

Hi.

As above I'm on cycle whatever. Trying off and on and seeing what happens since October 2020. Fell pregnant in April and lost the baby at 6 weeks. Stressful year but trying to restore my sanity. Cycle have now become irregular as soon as I keep on top of my vitamins and feeling deflated. I'm 26 and my partner is 32.

I just want a group of ladies who are in the same boat who can support each other throughout this draining process. I'm just drained at this point I need some support. Considering going to the doctors to double check everything.

I hear you. Cycle... eh no idea here. Trying since March 2020 and have had one 11 week miscarriage.

Definitely get the ball rolling with GPs. In April 2022 if you haven't conceived again they will refer you to assisted conception nhs services x

@apwilso at this point I would definitely recommend going to get a basic fertility screening done. If you say to your GP you’ve been trying a year, which you have by the sound of things, they’ll run bloods and send you for an internal ultrasound.

It’s so shit and stressful and all consuming and crazy … crazy that so many people get pregnant 1st time around yet others, when nothing is wrong at all, have to wait for long for their BFP. You never know what it’s like until you’ve been through it and I can massively empathise. I’m not as far along as you in the process, but month 8 of trying feels like month 800. X

@TheDaydreamBelievers I was going to give myself to April! Really sorry to heard about your loss. Have you been to the doctors about it? What's the initial first step?

@FlyOnTheWall89 after last night I want to! I didn't feel like there was anything wrong we never after we convinced after 5 months but now my periods have gone weird and the timing with me and my boyfriend is off I think it's time! I don't think it matters 8 months can be stressful.

I've recently had covid and someone has just messaged me saying that's why my period can be all over. Just what I needed!

@apwilso I had a CP / very early loss in September. I had Covid at the end my FW last month and my period came as normal. 🤞🏻This month no period comes but if it doesn’t I wonder if my cycle will have changed. I haven’t been using OPKs recently because we have regular sex so sort of don’t see the point now but I got EWCM much earlier than normal so I was wondering if Covid might have made my cycle shorter this month and I ovulated earlier. We shall see.

I think knowledge is power. It was so reassuring to know my CD2 bloods were all within the normal range and I had an internal ultrasound in May and I had ovulated that month. In the NY I am going for the progesterone bloods to see if I have ovulated. At that point I’ll nudge my DP to go for a SA. It makes me feel better to be a bit proactive. If your UK based, all the appointments can be months away so I personally would get the ball rolling and if you get pregnant in the mean time, amazing.

I find some weeks I’m more calm than others but there have been points where my mental health has really taken a dive which is so unlike me. I hate feeling like that. I find it very scary to even consider medical intervention to get our first baby but the longer we go on, the more likely it seems.

@FlyOnTheWall89 sorry to hear that. Knowledge is very much power. I've just come on full force so next cycle I will track properly so I can figure it out
