Dreaded TWW!

Hi everyone. Looking for some chat to keep me going for the next 2 weeks. Me and OH had an oops the other night and TMI he ejaculated x2 and we had unprotected sex inbetween LOL. It's most likely I wont get pregnant.

We have a DS 9 month old and I'm 50/50 whether I want another baby yet. I miss being pregnant so much and want my babies close together. On the other hand I want to go back to work (still on mat leave and not due back for a few months) and want to dedicate all my time to DS.

Either way, the wait is going to kill me. Secretly hoping for a positive but when and if it happens I will probably panic, scream, cry, and 💩 on the floor.

Thanks for listening to my ted talk Grin

Hi! Aww well if you're secretly hoping for it then I have my fingers crossed for you!
I'm also in the tww. Not sure exactly when I ovulated but was towards the end of last week. Had a miscarriage recently and desperately waiting for my rainbow baby. Going to be a loooong wait till testing!

rom17 · 14/12/2021 17:27

@frenchie4002 so sorry to hear about your miscarriage, it must be so hard! Thankfully never had to experience one. When will you be testing?

OP posts:
frenchie4002 · 14/12/2021 17:42

It is but slowly feeling better in myself, thank you x
I'm hoping I've gone back to my usual 30 day cycle and if so AF would be due on the 23rd. Going to hold out to as close to that date as I can to test I think. How about you?

rom17 · 14/12/2021 18:05

Good to hear. 23rd is so soon how exciting! My cycles are all over the place at the moment. They came back 11 weeks postpartum even though I was exclusively breast feeding and were really regular. Heard about cycles being messed up from the vaccine and thought it was BS, had my second dose in September and now they are so irregular! I didn't want to put it down to that but can't be a coincidence. My last cycle was 44 days long and the one before that 42. So not really sure when to test 😂. Last time I tested 12 days after DTD so may start testing the end of next week

frenchie4002 · 14/12/2021 18:10

Oh god how annoying, tbh mine might be all over the place too so I feel your pain. I've had a few friends whose periods have changed since the jab! It puts me off getting the booster whilst TTC.
We will be testing around the same time then! Are you feeling any different atm? I thought I felt brief implantation pain earlier today but could have very well been wishful thinking

rom17 · 14/12/2021 19:28

I know, it puts me off too!

Not feeling any different as only DTD 2 days ago 😆. Promising you felt a niggle though! I never had anything like that with my first two pregnancies, just stabbing pains in the early weeks and well cramps throughout my pregnancy really lol!! Not expecting the same second time around as every pregnancy is different!

OP posts:
frenchie4002 · 14/12/2021 19:42

Yeah same I had dull period like cramps in first pregnancy but that’s it! Who knows if the niggle was anything I’m prob just being hyper sensitive but it’s hard not to when you’re on the lookout for any sign 24/7😂 how early did you find out when you were pregnant before?

rom17 · 14/12/2021 20:01

Haha yes the dreaded symptom spotting!!! First pregnancy was 3 weeks 5 days pregnant and second pregnancy (my DS) was exactly 3 weeks going off dating scan but 4 weeks going off period. What about you?

OP posts:
frenchie4002 · 14/12/2021 20:07

Relatively early then! Mine was 4 weeks going off my period but turned out to be slightly earlier. Will you be using a specific test this time? I used to use frer but have heard mixed reviews about them this time round?!

rom17 · 14/12/2021 20:16

I used clear & simple last time an clearblue. I'll probs do the same this time. I find the cheap ones pretty decent

OP posts:
frenchie4002 · 14/12/2021 20:47

Never heard of clear & simple will see if any shops near me sell!

rom17 · 14/12/2021 21:52

Savers stock them !

Hey, I’m also 2ww.could use some company if you’ll have me? I think I ovulated Sunday. Not sure this is the cycle for me though. We got my 2 year old’s vomiting bug and then a cold so not feeling 100%. 3rd cycle ttc #2. #1 was an unexpected pregnancy so this is all new. Found out about dd at 6 weeks, had no symptoms except some cramps so I thought af was coming 🤦‍♀️. @frenchie4002 so sorry about your mc, hoping for a rainbow baby for you. I’ve heard the frer are unreliable, but I think people try read them after 10 mins to max chances of positive results, so get the indents/fake positives. Testing is just so brutal. Cycle 1 I POAS daily from day 6 dpo, cycle 2 did it once on day 11, then wiped and realised my AF was already there. Waste of an expensive test. I have a 11 day luteal normally so I think I’m due for AF around the 23rd. I’ll be with the in laws then and will be visiting a newborn. Could be a very boozy Xmas 😂.

rom17 · 15/12/2021 07:32

Hi @madeleine85. Sorry you've been so poorly, hopefully this is the month for you!

OP posts:
frenchie4002 · 15/12/2021 07:47

@madeleine85 sounds like there’s been a lot going on this month hopefully you get your positive! Are you going to try and test before the 23rd then? Yep I’ve heard similar things about the frer! I have never personally had an issue with them and they were soo sensitive for me they showed positive even when I had less than 10 hcg after the miscarriage so I think I will just stick with what I know and hope for the best. But like @rom17 I’m not 100% sure on cycle dates for this month as I usually am 30 days but had a 35 day cycle last month after the miscarriage and have been reading around they can be longer/shorter for a while. Like you said if it’s not our month at least we can have a boozy Christmas!

rom17 · 15/12/2021 16:57

@frenchie4002 did you do LH tests this cycle?

OP posts:
frenchie4002 · 15/12/2021 17:14

@rom17 no, I think I will start those Jan or Feb if I haven't fallen before then. Didn't want to put too much pressure on myself right away but feeling stressed about it anyway tbh so may as well have done them lol. Which ones do you use?

rom17 · 15/12/2021 20:19

@frenchie4002 fair enough! I use one step ones from amazon lol

OP posts:
rom17 · 19/12/2021 20:47

How are you doing??? I had some cramping and niggles so took a veryyyy early test. Not expecting to see anything but kinda do?! Checked within 5 mins. Not sure if it's super super faint, an evap, or me seeing things
