Worried & confused :(

Hi,

apologies for the long post but I’m so confused and wondering if anyone has been through anything similar..

had a period on 18th November. Had some cramps & spotting 2 weeks later which led me to do a test (2nd December) and it was positive, done lots of other tests which are positive and also got 2-3 on clear blue last Friday

doctor confirmed pregnancy and mentioned the “period” on the 18th could of been implantation bleeding. So I don’t know how far along I am so I booked in for a private scan yesterday and she could not see any evidence of a pregnancy currently and said it could be that it’s too early.

ive had brown spotting on and off since I first found out I was pregnant, but over the weekend start to spot red blood, but with no pain. done another test this morning which is still quite a strong positive and came up straight away.

ive got another scan at the end of this month to see if there has been any development.

Im confused because how could I of got a positive test only 2 weeks after my period!? I don’t know when I ovulated, whether or not I did really late or very soon after my period ended maybe!?

not sure what I’m expecting from this post just very worried & it’s been such a confusing time

When was your period before that? Are they normally regular?

If you got a 2-3 on a CB it implies you conceived the w/c 22nd of Nov. It's possible you just happened to ovulate early that cycle. If that was the case the you'd only be 4-5 weeks pregnant now and it would indeed be too soon to see things on a scan for most.

The doctors implantation theory doesn't line up with the 2-3 weeks test but I guess it could be wrong. Try taking it again this Friday and see if it goes up to 3+?

The period before that was 20th October, and yes regular.

I don’t think it was implantation either as it doesn’t line up. I will do another clear blue Friday and see what it says.

I know some people bleed in early pregnancy but now that it’s red blood it’s concerning me, I guess all’s I can do is wait and see what happens. I’ve just started to get some pregnancy symptoms today - so it’s building my hopes up even more!
