Hi, I’m new here so hope I’m posting in the right place.

We are having some problems conceiving baby number 2, we are very lucky that we had a very easy journey to have our DS and started trying again shortly before he was 1. We are 18 months in and nothing- so far we have diagnoses of low sperm morphology, high sperm dna fragmentation and possible inbalance of microbiomes so may be starting antibiotics/probiotics soon, but I don’t feel particularly hopeful to be honest!

I feel totally alone in this as we are mainly male factor and people don’t tend to talk about that as much.

Does anyone have any success stories or are in a similar situation??

We’re in a similar boat to you too! Low morphology and count and over a year trying for our second. DH is now on pycengenol, vitamin c and zinc as suggested by our GP. Fingers crossed that the next analysis shows improvement! It can be a really lonely place sometimes, as grateful as we are to have our little one! X

@poppet131 Thanks for sharing! Was it quite easy to get your first? So frustrating isn’t it. Understandably most info online (eg Instagram) is about female infertility. I like to plan things so feel completely in limbo at the mo!

Hi op there’s an infertility section on here and you might get more support there. Sperm issues weren’t my issue but recommend you read it starts with the egg as has lots of vitamins suggestions for your dp which should help

@Cloud311 It only took us 5-6 months to conceive our first so this feels like a bit of a longer journey for us second time around! Have you had your partner’s sperm retested? DH was on a concoction of Zinc, Vitamins C, D, E, wellman conception and pine bark after his first analysis and sperm concentration since then has gone from 9million per ml to over 80million per ml and morphology from 2% to 6% in just two months. Still not pregnant but hoping it’s a move in the right direction.

Hello OP, I’m sorry to hear of your struggles in your ttc journey. I don’t have experience in this area personally so unsure if this will be helpful at all but have you heard of Impryl? It’s a fertility vitamin that can be taken by both men and women it’s supposed to help with both DNA fragmentation and DNA decondensation.

My sister and her OH used this and they believed it help them. May be worth researching or asking GP about?

My sister actually gave me a full box after she had her DD and I’m taking it now instead of other supplements (but my OH isn’t). All the best Flowers
