Hi all,

I'm currently 3dpo on my 12th cycle to conceive #1.

I feel like each month up until now, I've obsessed about it and would be getting ready to test. But this month I feel a bit numb to it and it's become more of a chore than feeling nervously excited.

It's taking a lot longer than I thought it would, and starting to feel like this is it.. it's not going to happen. I'm going to look at booking an appointment with my GP soon, but a bit nervous about the journey if there are fertility problems.

Is anyone else at or near the 1 year mark?

X

Hi @Frandler. I’m not at the one year mark, I’ve passed the 2 year mark, sadly. But wanted to say I found the one year mark really hard so there’s lots of us around that get how exhausting it all is, if that’s any help at all. I’m very numb to it now and don’t expect it to work, but we’re moving to ivf soon so that keeps me vaguely hopeful. Definitely get some tests done if this month is a no go, it’s good to get the ball rolling and hopefully find out what’s going on. There’s plenty of people who conceive naturally after the one year point, so you might get lucky yet!

Know exactly how you feel! I'm into cycle 14 (CD1 today which is always a rough day emotionally) although one of the 13 I don't think I ovulated so calling it 13 (not that that's any better) had some basic tests done on both of us and nothing appears to be wrong. Can't afford to go private for anything else and as basic tests have been okay going to give it another 4 cycles and get to 18 before looking at alternatives. The thought that that might have to be an option makes me so sad. I never thought I'd be in this position. Was so naive! Am 31 so not getting any younger but not considered that old either!

I'm on cycle 10 and I feel the same as you, I think the fact that I'm so close to the year mark is dawning on me. I've never even had so much as a squinter on a test, and have in fact barely done any tests as I've had no need to! I'll probably call the GP again at the 12 month mark. Had some bloods done at 6 months and it all looked normal. Fingers crossed for us all x

How is everyone doing?
No good news here really. Period arrived bang on time yday so onto cycle 14 or 15 (had one where I don't think I ovulated). Sort of given up thinking it's going to happen naturally. Makes me sad! Hoping you've had better luck!!

Sorry to hear AF arrived @tryingforbabyh 😔
I'm on cycle 11 and deleted Flo app to stop me obsessing over dpo this month. It's worked a bit but I'm fairly certain I'm about 7dpo today and have started spotting. That's not unusual for me so this is the month where I will try to accept that it's not implantation bleeding. I get my hopes up about that every month and it's never been the case yet! So I'm right there with you and feeling a bit more numb than before.

Have you had any blood work done @rosegold24? Alternating cycles I spot for about 5-7 days before my period and I assume that's low progesterone so I've booked a doctor's appointment this week. I've on CD1 of my 7th cycle. Assuming I need to get this low progesterone fixed but going to start seed cycling

RoseGold24 · 10/01/2022 07:59

Hi @PoleFairy I've just had 21 day bloods done and there were no concerns! I've tried everything and seed cycling, vitamin B etc did help with spotting but this month has been so busy, and I guess I've become so disheartened, that I didn't bother with any of it. Also used a progesterone cream for a bit which I'm not sure helped. I read that it stops your body creating enough of its own progesterone so I stopped.
