Temp tracking help?

Hi,
I'm new to temp tracking and wondering if anyone can help me to see if I've ovulated.
Originally when I first started temping on this cycle I was just noting my temperatures down as notes but I've managed to find an app that's free to record the temperatures on a graph.
Forgive me for the days I've missed, I'm still in the process of making it a habit to take my temp before I get out of bed. Hopefully my next cycle will be more consistent.
I'm not sure if I've even ovulated yet? My cycles are pretty irregular.
Please help if you can. I feel I may have missed too many days for my graph to be of any use.

Why don’t you just use clear blue ovulation digits? Honestly those things worked every time for me.

@Notwithittoday they don't tell you if you've ovulated though, and as OP has irregular cycles OPKs aren't very useful

@Tracking honestly it's a bit hard to tell if there's been a shift as you've missed so many days. FF is the best app for this though so I'm glad that's the one you've gone for. Carry on temping though and I might become clearer. I'm happy to take a look at your chart any time.

I believe you need to have 6 temps higher than the previous 6 to conclusively say you ovulated - your gaps between days 19-23 are therefore crucial.

Ovulation sticks give an indication you should ovulate but they do not confirm you have or not. Nothing but a thermal shift can do that.

Thank you so much for replying. I did suspect that I may have missed too many days to give a clear picture.
My period tracking app did say I could be ovulating around day 11 which does line up with the dip on my graph.
Regarding ovulation sticks, my periods can vary so I didn't think they'd be very useful to me until I've got the hang of the temping x

@Tracking definitely not cd11 - your temp is still low on cd13. It's three consecutively high temps higher than the previous six that's the guideline going forward btw. So you only need three high temps to confirm ovulation, not six as per a previous poster.

Even if you do one every day from day ten onwards I think it’ll be quicker overall and less faff than temping. I always caught first month I used them

Juno231 · 09/12/2021 14:20

@Notwithittoday they don't work for a lot of people with irregular cycles... They're based on LH surging which a lot of ladies with long cycles will have multiple surges or even prolonged elevated levels without actually ovulating. Those tests only show your body's attempt at ovulating, not that succeeded to.

Not to mention the cost of using clearblue tests for days and days on end!

Thank you all for your replies.
Clearly I still have a lot to learn regards to temp tracking.
Does this mean I could have ovulated as day 23 24 25 are all higher temps than the previous 6?
Sorry if my questions seem a little dumb. I'm very new to this x
