Could I be pregnant???

Hey all,

Am starting to worry that I might have become pregnant. I am getting symptoms and no song of AF yet and it's now 2 days late.
So due to have suspected endometriosis (they now think I have adenomyosis) I have been on the mini pill to manage my symptoms since April.
However, back in august I bleed externally heavily for three weeks straight and it was awful. On November the 5th I started cramping really badly and I was in agony. So after a discussion with my partner we agreed that coming of off the pill would be best.
I had AF from the 8th to 10th/11th November and then nothing since. According to Flo I was due in yesterday although I have never been regular with my periods and so not 100% sure when I should come on.
Now over the past week I have been really off and just not myself. All I want to do is sleep all the time and my appetite is not really there. Then since yesterday I have been feeling nauseous. I walked into the kitchen after my house mate had cooked eggs yesterday and I felt like I was going to throw up. There has also been an increase in my discharge.
I have had two miscarriages before and I just feel like I did last time.

Me and my bf are going to buy a test and I shall do it tomorrow. Just needed some advice as kind of freaked out

What advice would help?

Suprima · 07/12/2021 18:03

We can’t really give you any advice. Shops are open, go get a test.

Gillseybear · 07/12/2021 19:25

@tocas to be honest I am not sure what advice would help. Am just freaking out a bit to be honest. This is really not planned but at the same time I am kind of insanely happy at the thought. Just got so many emotions running through my head right now. So just some advice on how to relax would be great

@Suprima I know and my partner has picked up a test today and I will be doing if tomorrow. I am autistic and so going through a lot of emotions right now. Just need to figure everything out I guess

Hi OP.

firstly, how would you feel if you are? how would your partner feel? is it something you both want, not trying but not preventing type scenario?

are you freaking out because if you are you've had miscarriages before and are worried it might happen again?

it's not unusual to be feeling nervous.

I actively tried for my first and still panicked when it came back positive.

Newbiemg · 07/12/2021 19:38

Hi @Gillseybear

I’m not sure if this will be very helpful advice but I assume you just needed a place to talk and get your feelings out.

I am ttc but I haven’t been pregnant before so no children so I can’t say that I understand how you’re feeling but I will say try to relax.

I know that’s easier said than done but you have options and time. If you’re not pregnant and this has made you feel as though you do want children then you can now talk to your partner and decide when is best to go ahead and ttc.

If you are pregnant like I said you have options and time to think about what you want to do and what’s best for you. You don’t need to decide anything right now so just try to relax.

Take the test tomorrow and go from there Smile

Worrying now won’t change the outcome it will just make you anxious and there may be no need.

Best wishes

Newbiemg · 07/12/2021 19:41

And also sorry I can’t speak much on how it feels to have a mc I can only imagine it’s extremely upsetting but my sister had a lot of miscarriages when first ttc and now has 3 beautiful children so when it’s your time it will happen Smile

Moonshine160 · 07/12/2021 20:01

Any chance you could go out tonight and get a test from the shop OP? I think you’ll be torturing yourself with worrying in the meantime and that’s the only way you’re going to find out. Nobody on here can tell you whether you are pregnant or not.

However as a PP has said it’s completely normal and natural to feel a mixture of emotions, including feeling very anxious. If you can’t get a test tonight then I’d recommend putting on some of your favourite relaxing music and have a nice warm bath to try and relax a bit.

Best of luck Flowers

@Candycone if I was pregnant part of me would be super happy as I have always known I wanted children but also worried because of the previous miscarriages. So there is that niggling feeling at the back of my head that tells me not to get to excited.

At the same time I am also terrified as am still at university and so not in the best place to be having a child right now.

However, me and my partner have discussed it and he has said that the decision is totally up to me and he will support me no matter what the outcome. That is super reassuring as it's one less thing to worry about.

Being autistic just makes everything worse as it's hard enough to live daily life without this on top.

@Newbiemg thank you so much for your support and understanding.
It's a bit confusing especially as I am Autistic as it just adds an extra dimension to everything. He d the fact my emotions get a little all over the place.
I am trying to relax as best as I can but been trying to go Christmas shopping all day and the weather has delayed several trains and so it's been a long day. I am now at home relaxing.

Good look on your journey and I hope you get that bfp soon x

I would love to have a bath but unfortunately there I not one in my house which sucks as I could really do with one. Just going to relax with Aomori ice cream and then instead

There is a chance you could be pregnant, but it is also quite likely that your periods won't be regular for a good few months after coming off the mini pill. I came off the mini pill back at the start of Jan and didn't get my first proper period until the very end of Feb, and it took about 6 months for my cycles to shorten down to their previous pre-pill length. You may just be having a very long cycle, but a test will tell!

Gillseybear · 07/12/2021 22:05

@2ndTimeRound90 thank you and I did wonder that however this time feel different.
I was on the mini pill from December 2018 to October 2020 without any breaks. When I first came of off that it took me two months to have a period and then two months again for my next one.
This Roma, I lost took the pill in the 5th November because I was spotting and cramping and I just didn't feel right. ( was concerned after the 3 week long period I had back in August). Then on Monday the 7th I started spotting and on Monday the 9th is became a full blow period although it was not as long or as heavy as normal.

So because of the differences it is making me questions then whole situation.
I do understand where you are coming from though

hi OP,

how did you get on this morning?

ExpectingLady93 · 08/12/2021 10:12

If you are two days late OP take a test.

Gillseybear · 08/12/2021 12:40

Hey all,

So my partner did not get a chance to pick up some tests last night and so I picked some up today. Have just done two and they both look negative to me.

Going to try again in the morning as I brought 4 tests just to be safe. If negative in the morning I shall contact my doctor

Could I be pregnant???

Gillseybear · 08/12/2021 20:00

@ExpectingLady93 yeah neither me or my partner could either.

Going to try again in the morning to see and then contact my GP

So I did two tests with my FMU but both came back negative this morning. I have rang my doctors because something is not right.

This nausea is killing me along with the achy boobs, pain in lower back and still no sign of AF. Hoping the doctors can give me some answers
