Early pregnancy bleeding

Hi,

I have just found out I am pregnant I don’t know how far along as I had what I thought was my period 2 weeks ago and it felt no different than a normal period.

I continued to have mild cramps on and off for a week and slight spotting. Today I had cramps which feel like period cramps & a bit of spotting so I did a test just to rule it out, and it came back a strong positive.

I guess I’m wondering if bleeding/cramping in early pregnancy is normal or if I should be worried

I am ringing the GP first thing.

First trimester is really scary for cramping and spotting. I had terrible cramping for all of mine. For my second, the pain was so bad I was convinced I was going to mc.

I know it's scary but it can be a normal part of pregnancy. X

Op it's like you kinda answered my question I have just had what seemed like a normal period finished 2 days ago now spotting and still very crampy and feel really sick and tired and been super achey prior to the 'period' I had lots of symptoms but negative pregnancy tests but now with the cramping still happening and the spotting I'm wondering if I could be pregnant hope it all turns out well for you and you have a sticky bean xx

@firsttimeclock thanks for the reassurance, I have read up and a lot of people have said the same so that’s reassuring :)

@mummyjojo19 sounds exactly like me however I don’t have any symptoms what so ever apart from the cramps/spotting. If it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t of tested. Thank you & hope everything turns out well for you!x
