BF has been trying for 2+ years now, got pg quite quickly atthe very beginning but has m/c at 12 weeks and has had no luck since, despite constant trying. Just wondered how common this is? Also, any advice on support I could give her other than the usual letting her talk/cry to me etc.

Thanks!

I have experienced almost the same thing. I got pregnant very quickly and had a missed miscarriage at 13 weeks. I have been trying again constantly for 14 months with no luck. I didn't get a period for 5 months and so was put on clomid. I've just had a lap and dye but they found nothing to explain why I'm having such trouble. I feel for your friend- it is really tough to have a baby taken away and then to go through months of disappointment. Has she seen a specialist?

Similar story here but with my first. We have been TTC since Jan 06. Got a BFP in August 06 but sadly mc at 9 weeks. 14 mths later and we have yet to succeed. Our GP has been very understanding and sent us for tests and we are about to be referred to a fertility specialist at UCH.

It is really tough as you see so many people with babies and all you want is what they?ve got. I really feel for her. Please urge he to be referred if she hasn?t already done so.
