Easy@home tests

Hi everyone
So yesterday I took an easy@home test on 9dpo which looked negative and so I just left it and thought well this hasn't been my month no worries etc etc... then at 7pm I went back to check it (I have no idea why?!??) and low and behold there was a pink vvvv faint line on the test (top test in pic) and so I did another test, luckily I hadn't been to the loo for 3 hours or so and so did another test and got another vvvv faint line (see bottom pic) by this point I was thinking this must be a fluke so I did another test with just water (3rd test down) and there was no line, sooo I thought I'd do another test this morning with fmu (10dpo) and the test has come back negative ☹️
Have other people experienced this before where tests look positive then negative? Are easy@home just bad for evaps? I know I need to just wait and maybe test again on Thursday/Friday, by which time I should get an answer anyway (period due on Friday)

Interested to hear peoples experiences! 😃

Maybe try using a first response? Also for some people, their HCG levels show up more on tests in the evening. Try doing on this evening if you can't get a first response x

The top and bottom one really do look positive, with pink. I'm sorry it's so confusing and I'm sure you're already climbing the walls but my advice would be try another one this evening, and if you can get a FRER for tomorrow. Let us know! I'm hopeful for you x

Thank you both for your replies! I'm trying to be hopeful but also so disappointed this mornings test didn't come up with anything.
I forgot to add that I did a FRER last night as well as I know they're loads more sensitive but it came back negative, only if I realllyyyy stare and it can I convince myself there might be something there. I'm going to leave it until Thursday or Friday and see what happens with AF. I will come back to update 😃

I found easy@home tests pretty much as sensitive as FRERs, they showed lines on the same day.

So I went full crazy and shone a light through the back of them and I can see a second line on all of them apart from the one I dipped in water! I've not done another test today but will do one tomorrow on 12dpo!
Fingers are tightly crossed! 😃😃

I have had quite a few evaps with easy@home and sometimes they do look pink as well. It's gutting.

If you're going to test as early as 9 or 10 dpo I would recommend a First Response instead.

It's also not a good idea to go back and check hours later, I know the temptation is there but that is when evap lines happen, they usually won't show up straight away.

kitty1993 · 01/12/2021 17:01

@want2bemum It's so gutting when evaps occur especially the more convincing ones. I don't even know why I went back to check it but the line was so convincing that I then did another test and a line came up in the time frame which is was then started me thinking it could be a genuine line.

I always feel like tests need a bit longer to develop after the time frame, that was definitely the case with my covid lateral flow! Negative after 30 mins but no doubt about it being positive after and hour! Thank god I went back and checked it! So yeh im a bit sceptical about the whole "only read it in the time frame" advice 😂

I've managed not to test today and so tomorrow will either be a yes or no and hopefully not a squinter line again 😂
