Late period - when to test?

Hi,

My Flo app is telling me I am now 2 days late for my normally regular period.
It has advised that 4 days late is when may be best to do a pregnancy test.
Would a test detect a pregnancy if I was to do one in the next few days? Or would it still be too early to tell?

Thank you! Smile

How long is your usual cycle? Do you know when you ovulate? Late period is a good sign, but whether a test will work depends on how long its been since you ovulated, which might be why your app is suggesting you wait.

That said, a FRER is likely to give you a good result once you're late. If you can't wait another two days, try one of those.

You can test now - most good pregnancy tests (eg FRER) will detect pregnancy several days before period is due.

However.... Flo has no idea if you're late or not. Odds are you just ovulated a couple days later than expected and you're not "late" at all. If you get a negative result on the test today then you'll know this is why.

Please remember Flo is just a guessing app though.

Agree with PP flo is guess work and you may have ovulated late.

However, I would 100% be doing a pregnancy test! If you are usually fairly regular pretty much all of them should detect it that this point.
