Help with Ovulation Strips Needed!

Hi Everyone,

This is my first ever post on here!

So I came off the pill after being on it for 10+ years. I got withdrawal bleed and then real period after 6 weeks.
I’ve been taking ovulation tests this month but I’ve no idea if any of these are positive? None are as dark as the control line but I’m now on CD18 so getting a bit worried?

Hi, the tests have to be as dark or darker than the control line to be positive. I have a 33 day cycle and get my positive on or around CD18-19. You probably just have longer cycles. Keep testing and see if it comes in the next few days

You may just ovulate later in your cycle, but also we aware it can sometimes take a few months for you to ovulate after coming off the pill .. took me 7 months to ovulate after being on the pill xx

Just another question @JMPB if you didn't ovulate for 7 months does that mean you also didn't get your period for that amount of time?

Yea I still got my period, however I did have irregular cycles. I’ll add some pictures of 2 months I tracked ovulation one where I didn’t ovulate and then the one where I did (: hope it helps xx

Thanks so much for sharing! Looking at your positives makes me think I probably haven't yet as they definitely aren't as dark as that! I'll keep testing! May just ovulate later in month!
I find it definitely is adding a bit of stress taking the OPKs but I guess I'll do it until I recognise when my fertile window is

Mine didn't get very dark or give very high reading. I got my BFP first month using them though :) I've no previous months to compare it to though so maybe some months it would have gotten darker.

@Irishfarmer omg congrats!! You are so lucky! Best of luck! Thanks for sending on pics. Yours are light but on your peak the test line looks like it's the same as the control line. Mine are still lighter than control line! Fingers crossed that it will happen soon!

What time are you testing op? I tested at 2pm and 10 pm and always caught the positive..

Hey @Santaischeckinglists so I'm testing around 9am and then around 5pm! I wonder should I test at different time!

I'd say testing twice a day you should catch it and those times are fairly well spaced. I think the main advice is don't use FMU and don't drink a lot before you do the test. Is the LH rising?

Unfortunately I can't post a pic as I'm a new member but looking at the progress of the lines it seems to have gotten darkest on CD 16 and then seems to be getting lighter?

Fmu isn't for the cheap tests.

@Farley21 yeah it doesn't look like you've ovulated yet. Mine seem to go up and down in darkness throughout the month but it's always clear when I hit my ovulation day.

I'd probably just persevere. I wouldn't worry about it either as it can take some time for your cycle to kick back in after coming off the pill.

I'm only TTC two months and I'm finding I'm already becoming obsessive over it

Update- I'm on CD 25 () and looks like I've had my strongest OPK !! What do you guys think?
