Short luteal phase - a problem?

We're currently TTC #2, and my luteal phase seems shorter than it was before DD was born (she's 15 months old). My period comes 12 days after ovulation. Is this a problem? I'm still BFing, just at bed time and around 5am, if that makes any difference.

It took us 7 cycles to conceive DD, and I was 38. We're currently 6 cycles in, and I'm 40 now.

Any tips or advice would be welcome!

Hiya, I have a short luteal phase too, usually 10 days. I've heard that anything down to 10 days is fine, shorter than that is potentially a problem. Hope that's reassuring!

@EishetChayil
I am also 40. Been ttc for over a year. Able to conceive in october but ended in chemical. Luteal also short. Varies 10-12 days (24-28 day cycles). Doubt the breast-feeding is an issue if your af is arriving regularly.
Good luck 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

No, 12 days should be fine :) I've always had shorter than the average 14 days LP and fell pregnant within normal timeframes.
