Pregnancy loss

Im currently having my second chemical pregnancy in a row, first one was 5 weeks 2 days and this one is 4 weeks and 5 days. The bleeding is very heavy and having cramps however I am also having a sharp pain on my right side which is shooting down my leg - this also happened the first chemical. I ended up in a&e with the pain of the first one but doctor said definitely not ectopic, has anyone else had similar? I haven’t been to the doctor yet with this one as I know what it is and to just wait it out. I’m struggling mentally, I haven’t told any family or friends about ttc and the cp’s. It’s so hard trying to put a happy face on around family etc and I am currently at work feeling really low and not myself. Has anyone ever took time off work for cp? Also - has anyone went to the doctors with cp? What do they do? I read you have to have 3 reoccurring losses to get any help. Really don’t want to have to go through a third one of these 😞. Any advice or similar stories out there? Xx

@MCMP13 Firstly I am so sorry you're going through a second cp in a row. Nothing I can say will make it any easier for you but I can sympathise. I had a cp at the end of last month (6&half weeks but had stopped at 4) and have had 2 early miscarriages before that. Like you I hadn't told any family or friends and felt so lonely and struggled to put on a happy face and function at work. In the end I was signed off sick for a month by my doctor as mentally I wasn't managing. The only advice I can give is please make sure you look after yourself. If you don't feel comfortable talking to friends and family find an outlet somewhere as those tears need to come out! I had boxed off the first one, never acknowledged it and I think that's why after the second I fell apart so spectacularly. You're right that the majority of health boards won't take any action until 3 losses so register your latest CP with your doctor so that it's at least documented. To give you a positive spin though after my second mc I went on to conceive and give birth to my ds who is just about to turn 2 and is a little monster! We're ttc#2 and my cp last month was the first bash at that, so not a good start but onwards and upwards.
Don't give up hope xx

@Beth262 thank you. We are definitely going to try again just so disappointing this happened again. I have had a phone appointment with the doctor today to get it on record. It's great to hear you have conceived after chemicals, I'm praying it's our time soon xx
