How many cycles did it take for you to conceive?

There seems to be so many people who become pregnant in the first 3 months of trying.... or it takes much longer. Intrigued by actual statistics from you ladies on here.

How many cycles did it take you?

(I am trying for baby number 1 and moving into the 8th cycle of TTC)

DC1: 24+ cycles, plus two rounds of IVF

DC2: 1 cycle

Number 1 - 17
Number 2 - 1

DS1 & DS2 were both 1st month of TTC.

1. First cycle we stopped preventing.
2. 4 cycles. Sadly ended in MMC at 12 weeks
3. 4 cycles in (hoping this will be our month)

@FlyOnTheWall89 20 months and 1 round of Ivf to get pregnant. We had MFI which got corrected but also I had endo and low amh so don't delay investigations if you're over 35. You can start after 6 months of ttc. It's a year if you're younger. Good luck!

First cycle, second cycle, first cycle, first cycle, second cycle.

1st one cycle
2nd 24 cycles!

13 years - so that was works out to about 143 cycles for me. I think I count as an outlier

DC1 4
DC2 10 then a miscarriage at 9 weeks then for pregnant again on the 1st cycle after the miscarriage
DC3 1

2nd 1!
3rd 1!

48 cycles and still no BFP

First try both times.

First cycle both times. I know we are extremely fortunate

1st cycle with DS1.
On cycle 3 of trying for our second.

I feel like with second children it either seems to take a really short time or a really long time. And that scares me.

I agree so many people seem to conceive within 3 months!

It took us 6 cycle (ended in MMC) then another 6 cycles to conceive our son.

I was trying desperately that whole time and it felt like forever! Hadn't been in the pill for years and was tracking everything

DC1 11 cycles
DC2 literally one try!

First cycle for both pregnancies

Fell pregnant 3rd month, ended in a chemical pregnancy. Then BFP on 10th month & now 34+4 x

I'm on my 25th cycle TTC #1, having IVF in January 🤞🏻

1st cycle, we used the digital clearblue ovulation kit, I was sceptical about it but can honestly say it worked for us.

I also used Flo app to track and better understand my cycles before starting to try and took healthy start folic acid & vitamins in preparation. We realise we are very lucky and had fully expected it to take 12 months or more!

First time. Dh was most disappointed he didn't get "months of trying" 😂

48 cycles and 2 IVF attempts - 20 weeks pregnant now.

I did nothing, no monitoring etc. We had sex,I got pregnant and that was really all there was to it

I have done a rough round up of statistics so far. I got distracted half way through so may have missed a couple of lines, but...

An overwhelmingly large amount of first month pregnancies with a dip in the middle months and then an uptick towards a year TTC.

I'm just going into cycle 5 off the pill so thinking I might track this month. I do have an app and have been looking at ewcm but might try ovulation tests this month. I know my mum took 18months ish with me and a year with my brother in her early 20s but only 6 months with my younger sibling in her 40s. She never had anything wrong with her, just seemed to take a while so I guess I'm the same
