TTC December thread

This part is nearly as bad as the TTW - waiting for AF to be over and to be able to crack on!

By my calculations we'll all know before Christmas if the next cycle has been a success for us - so hopefully either way happiness or sadness there will be lots of opportunities for lovely family time x

@kizzy97 cd25 today which is really early for me - have been 28 day cycles for as long as I can remember. Except last month which was 31 days! So 3 days late last month and 3 days early this month. After years of 28 days. Why body why?! When TTC does it decide to muck about?!

Late joiner here too, I'm 5dpo today. AF due on the 23rd but I'll likely start testing from Monday at 9dpo because I can't help myself 😂.

Got a bfp at 10dpo in May but unfortunately ended in a MC.

@mightbeyesmightbeno - that's weird...the bleedings completely stopped? There's none in the pad I put on either. But it was definitely more than spotting...

@Theresamagicalplace that’s definitely positive and progressed! Sending all the sticky thoughts but this is such a great start for you, congrats!

@kizzy97 how strange - has it started properly again yet? Totally understand the disappointment even at only the second cycle. I’m the same and will be devastated if I’m not pregnant which I don’t think I am - don’t feel any thing at all

Welcome @Shabz22! I think I’ll test Monday too at 10dpo, I was negative with my son then but also not 100% on my O day

Hi all :) we're ttc number 2 here and starting cycle 2 (I do think the first one coming off the pill is a dud anyway so really it's the first proper month but anyway).

In the FW now so just hoping for something sticky!

@melbxldn It hasn't started back up yet! Weird, thrown me for a loop on what to do now

@kizzy97 test sat as planned if no AF tomorrow? How frustratingly confusing though!

AF just arrived ☹️ 25 day cycle I’ve never had such a short cycle ever!

@melbxldn - test is sat there waiting, will test in the morning if bleeding dosen't resume. It's absolutely bizare, it genuinely seemed like the start of af it was more than just spotting! Popped another pad on as I got ready for bed just in case

Congrats to the BFP! I’m over a week away from testing as I am 1DPO. I’ve got a long wait. I hope to test Christmas morning or Boxing Day morning which would be 4 days before AF is due.

@kizzy97 update us in the morning! I feel really invested in your progress as second cycle for number 2 for both of us!

I have slightly sore boobs today, but still BFing so might be a normal thing. I didn’t have sore boobs with my first pregnancy in the 2WW but still hopeful!

My period is due on 30th so if I use a FRER (Says 6 days before) will that mean I can do it on Christmas Day??

@kizzy97 my spotting (it was only there when wiping, never on pad) seems to have stopped too! I've looked back on my app and with my daughter I started spotting at exactly the same time - 3 weeks and 3 days after the first day of my previous period. Because I was spotting, I didn't test until 4 days later or so as just assumed it was AF. However, AF never came and so I tested ....

I find that a crazy coincidence for me because I'm always 28 days so another 3 days normally to wait for me so I'm now starting to hope that AF isn't arriving and that it's implantation spotting like my daughter 🤞

There's always a glimmer of hope!

Morning all.

Yesterday evening and all night really I've had horrible stomach pains. Low down on my right side. I was convinced AF was coming early, but no sign. I'm still aching this morning. Any ideas? I'm sleeping a lot too. I wonder if if caught s virus or something 😩

Still no AF, 3 days late now but still BFNs as far as testing is concerned.

@melbxldn @mightbeyesmightbeno well definitely af for me, woke up to a full flow this morning ☹️ it's annoying I can't really remember last time, DS wasn't planned and I had a lot going on at the time so I didn't even notice af was late until I was already a week late which is when I took a test. The only thing that comes to mind was my coffee suddenly tasted disgusting (went off it for the whole pregnancy).

I'm thinking of buying OPKs for the next cycle if anything just to check I am definitely ovulating as I've read some get periods but don't ovulate? I was on the implant for 3 years and came off July just gone xx

@oldermam so hard to know! I've symptom spotted all month and it's led me to nothing. I've def had virus this month and been more tired than normal, there's so much going around. But cramps and AF feelings can be either that or implantation so I'll keep fingers crossed for the latter for you!

@kizzy97 sorry to hear this. I think I'm a few hours behind you, can feel full flow coming :( Will catch you up in December threads. My app predicts O will be around NYE so let's hope for a New Years miracle ❤️

@kizzy97 oh I’m sorry! Opks won’t confirm you actually ovulate but they are better than apps about what day you prob do. When I started using them I found out I ov a few days after the apps said. I also take my BBT (which does confirm ovulation) and learnt I ov 2 days after my positive not the same day or day after so I was missing the key day!!

@kizzy97 so sorry to hear. I understand what you mean about not remembering, both my children were unplanned, my second it didn't even cross my mind as a possibility because I'd been really poorly and I assumed it had messed with my cycle, so nothing sticks out to me. The only planned pregnancy was my MC in June but I feel like the trauma has completely blocked that out too. It's sort of like I have no idea what I'm doing or what I'm looking for, just winging it!

It's strange lots seem to be having short cycles, I had a 23 day cycle last month, I was expecting it as I track ovulation and knew my LP was 12 days, so when I ov'd on day 11 I knew it was coming, but I wonder why that's happening to so many recently 🤷‍♀️

@Shabz22 about the short cycles I’m always 29 days I always make a note on the health app on my iPhone I had one 27 day cycle which was my first period after it came back from breast feeding. I’ve not been on the pill. I can’t find any evidence on google but I do think ttc can affect your cycle length. What if conception happened but not implantation. But from what I can find online if that was the case I should have got an early positive and then a late period. I hope I don’t sound like I’m obsessing but I do think ttc can cause your cycles to change by a few days and it’s often dismissed as oh it’s because your tracking now and previously you mustn’t of noticed

My next ovulation window falls right over when I’ve got the in laws visiting for Xmas! Going to have to suggest they go for a walk or to the supermarket lol

@melbxldn that's more what I mean, I don't think it's anything like I'm not ovulating or anything but when you're doing everything you can and still not getting there my wind just wanders off to the scenarios like that xx

@Shabz22 it's annoying isn't it?! Both tww I've been symptom spotting and trying to remember if this is how it went last time but find I just don't know! Even though each pregnancy is supposed to be different anyway xx
