@lovesT your signs all sound promising! When I got my BFP in Dec I remember having cramping but it was too early for my period and I'm not usually early so thought that was weird, also no sore boobs but quite sore nipples I think? I think I also remember having extra CM which was weird and googling if it was a sign of my period arriving even though I'd never noticed it before? It's so hard though because you read into everything! I think I was too afraid to test too because I couldn't face another negative test and the thought of another cycle and all the waiting 😩

lovesT · 26/02/2022 13:56

@GreenFlipFlop ah I hope so. Yeah there so feel like there are differences this month but it's so easy to look into each detail 😄 I've also Google's the cm thing and other women have said it was a sign for them but who knows! I'll keep you all updated and either way I find this thread so helpful, I did the first time TTC too!

lovesT · 26/02/2022 13:57

@GreenFlipFlop also that's exactly it, I can't face a negative test so I don't know if it's easier to wait or not haha. But I think I'm preferring to wait this time and let my body tell me.

Tjsmjs · 26/02/2022 15:18

@lovesT that sounds promising. I know you don’t want to get your hopes up but I do have my fingers crossed for you.
I’m doing ok thank you. My spotting stopped after a couple of hours and then didn’t get anymore until today. Lots of spotting today and it is my usual pre Af type. I’m sure AF is coming today/tomorrow but on the bright side this month’s cycle has been 26 days which is long for me!

lovesT · 26/02/2022 15:52

@Tjsmjs thank you ❤️ that's good that your cycle was longer, it's good to find the positives! I hope you don't feel too down and it will happen for us soon x

Tjsmjs · 26/02/2022 15:57

@lovesT thank you. Please update us either way but I do hope it is a bfp for you soon.
Trying to keep positive. As this cycle was long my DH will be home the day before my predicted ovulation instead of the day after so another positive.

lovesT · 26/02/2022 16:11

@Tjsmjs definitely will! Oh that's really good, so next month isn't out for you 👍

whatsthecraic91 · 26/02/2022 20:26

@lovesT definitely had cramping and loads of CM before my BFP! Are you hot? I sweated so bad at night in bed with both my pregnancies!

lovesT · 26/02/2022 20:50

@whatsthecraic91 interesting! thanks!

Ahh I don't know I'm still expecting to come on but that would be amazing if it's all signs. We'll see. I'm not hot no but I have had heart palpitations which I had when I was pregnant with my daughter although I don't remember how early and it could also be due to a stressful week. This symptom spotting and waiting is enough to drive you mad isn't it 😄

lovesT · 27/02/2022 14:14

Just had blood when I wiped 😥😥😥 devastated

GreenFlipFlop · 27/02/2022 21:25

@lovesT oh no! Could maybe be implantation bleeding?

lovesT · 27/02/2022 21:31

@GreenFlipFlop, no definitely period 😥😞😞. So onto the 6th cycle. I've just looked at dates and very frustratingly my husband will be away for a couple of nights in the lead up to my predicted ovulation 😞 but he should be back for predicted ovulation day 🤞. As I tracked ovulation this month I know my luteal phase was about 10 days which is apparently short so that worries me. Tempted to talk to a gp but not sure they would be interested. I was feeling okay earlier but feel a bit sad again xx

BeeYellowMumma · 27/02/2022 21:44

Hi everyone, I'm new here and to mumsnet👋

We have taken the plunge to try for number 2, I'm petrified though as had significant trauma with my first.

I'm not due AF until Saturday, but since last night I've been feeling cramps and tugging in my abdo, intermittently a bit nauseous, but more peculiarly I noticed a very small amount of what looked like milk to me from my nipple, which has left me sick with dread and excitement that maybe this could be it? Who knows

Just here for some morale support if anything Smile

GreenFlipFlop · 27/02/2022 22:46

@lovesT oh I'm so sorry 😢 I was really hopeful this would be your month. How long did it take with DD1 for you? It took 4 months for DS1 for me and 8 with current pregnancy. 6 months is a hard stage though, I remember feeling really sad at 6 months because I was convinced it wasn't going to happen, but it did! I'm sure it will happen for you, it's just taking a bit longer than expected ❤️

Welcome @beeyellowmumma 😊 how old is your DC? X

lovesT · 28/02/2022 07:33

Thanks @GreenFlipFlop it took about 5 months I think so maybe that's why it feels hard too as we're going past how long it took to conceive our daughter. With my husband going away for a couple of months around ovulation time this month we'll just have to do what we can either side of him being away or hope that this month I ovulate earlier 🤷. Thank you, I am feeling a bit hopeless at the moment but it just takes time.

My sister in law had her scan recently so all very exciting but as each month goes on it gets harder x

lovesT · 28/02/2022 07:34

@BeeYellowMumma welcome 😊 it's great to have a support group. Not all pregnancies and births are the same so I hope you have a better time this time round x

BeeYellowMumma · 28/02/2022 07:57

My daughter is 3

Tjsmjs · 28/02/2022 08:44

Hi @BeeYellowMumma. Welcome to the friend.

@lovesT I’m sorry. I was so hopeful for you this month. I had all my fingers crossed. Sounds like we are in a similar boat with partners being away during the fertile period. DH is due back the day of predicted ovulation for me to. I have a short luteal phase- is is usually 10-11 days. This month it was 12 days. I started taking co-enzyme q10 in and vitamin e in January as I’ve read that they can help. It takes a few months to help but you could consider that. I’m looking at vitex berry next if these don’t help but feels a bit different to take a herb than vitamins.

lovesT · 28/02/2022 08:55

Thanks @Tjsmjs I know it's so hard isn't it, so much hope which can just be gone in a second. I've read/ heard mixed opinions on whether 10 days is too short and some things say that a shorter luteal phase isn't always a problem so I don't know ... I thought after a year of periods it would all have settled down by now?! I'd be tempted by some of these vitamins etc (already taking Pregnacare and omega 3 and eating more healthily) but it's all so expensive and I feel like I've already thrown a lot of money at vitamins which haven't helped this time round 😩 I'll look into it more but I have seen a lot about vitex but more for bringing periods back. I'm happy that my cycle was 28 days again this month as that is my normal and no idea why last month was 26.

Allllll the baby dust to us this month ✨✨ even with partners being away. That's exactly the same for me, he goes away for 2 nights and will be back in my predicted ov day! Few days to get through being on my period 🙄🙄 then back to it! Having a hard time with my daughter as she's had a cold for a few days and only wants me (and milk)..

Tjsmjs · 28/02/2022 15:37

@lovesT yes it is that heart sinking moment. After being so positive before all I did was cry last night. DH left for his trip and I felt very alone. Also found out another relative is pregnant so think it was a combo of stuff. Trying to get back into the positive mindset. I’ve made a list of house tasks I want to get done before he is back to distract me.
I know what you mean about the cost of vitamins. I’ve done a bit of shopping around so the vitamin e is about £2 month and coenzyme q10 is £5 but the pregnacare is expensive and vitex is as well. From my reading that any changes we make take 3 months to have an affect so I am trying to see it as a 6 month commitment if I am going to do it.
I’ll try and find the link for the research trial which found vitex lengthening cycle for you.

Baby dust for us both and hopefully by at least being able to post here neither of us feel alone in this journey.

megevans · 06/03/2022 22:13

@lovesT
What is the Facebook group you follow that is for those TTC while breastfeeding?

lovesT · 06/03/2022 22:30

@Tjsmjs so sorry that you were so sad 😟 I find myself not seeing my sister in law as much as she's pregnant and the more pregnant she gets the harder it is for me even though I am excited for her.

I've looked into the c Q10 but it's so hard to know which ones to take and which to avoid! Vitex makes me a bit nervous because you apparently need to wean off it when pregnant and be quite careful with that, but it seems to work for lots of women.

@megevans it's TTC and pregnancy WHILE breastfeeding support group x

lovesT · 08/03/2022 16:24

Hello everyone 😊 how are you all doing? I've had a break from conception things as sometimes it all gets a bit overwhelming!

But today I've gone conception mad 😅 I just want to get pregnant 😭 I've bought yet another pack of Pregnacare Conception, got a vitamin B complex, raspberry leaf tea, vitamin C and also taking magnesium. These are all things I have read about that seem to have worked for other women.

Before I was only taking Pregnacare Conception and last month omega 3 and just generally eating much better.

The only thing I've seen other women have success with is vitex and progesterone cream. I'm really tempted by progesterone cream as I have suspicions that mine might be low due to breastfeeding but 1, it's expensive and 2 it feels weird to add hormones even if natural?? The other things I'm taking are supposed to help with progesterone production anyway.

Seriously TTC feels like it can drive us to madness 😅 I feel sad as I feel like I'm avoiding seeing my sister in law as she's pregnant but I don't want to do that 😥.

Anyone else feel like they're a bit TTC obsessed ? 😬 I'm feeling more positive and trying to keep that way.

Loads of baby dust to us all as this is not an easy journey and often very lonely xx

Chanel05 · 08/03/2022 18:05

Also on the 6th cycle here @lovesT and it's frustrating to say the least.

I don't feel the desperation that I did first time round but the journey to my daughter was 27 months, so I've adopted patience this time. I got my peak this morning so the next few days are go time.

Hi @Chanel05 and @lovesT. To be honest I’m finding this month really tough. I got my peak today and DH isn’t due home until late Friday so out this cycle before it even started. Plus there is a lot of uncertainty with DHs posting the next couple of months (he is military) so not sure he is going to be around enough to try, plus anxiety there.
Lots of TTC and pregnancy stuff keeps coming up on my social media feeds as well (stupid algorithms) which is making feel crap. And pretty lonely due to DH being away and no friends knowing we are trying. So overall not really in a good place right now. Sorry to be a miserable poster. I think I’m going to take a break from both social media and here for the next couple of weeks but baby dust for you both.
