@lovesT Yes I think it's very common for the tests to be super faint until basically a couple days before the peak, then they start to be a bit darker, then you may get just one day/one test where it peaks, or you may have a couple days - everyone is different! And then people ovulate 12-48 hours on average after the peak - so good to keep DTD for a few days after haha. I find it so interesting how everyones bodies are similar but different! And yes feel you on being tired! Last cycle we DTD every day around the peak but it was too much for both of us haha. This month we actually only DTD twice as I got sick in my fertile week which wasn't ideal... managed to DTD on the day I got my positive OPK though so am hopeful. I'll try to take a pic of my OPKs from this cycle and post, if helpful.

I'm often woken by my LO too - I think as long as you've had 2-3 hours uninterrupted sleep before you take your temp you can kind of rely on it... maybe not for preventing a pregnancy, but for getting an idea on when / whether you ovulated, it has seemed to work for me even though my DD definitely doesn't sleep through even at the best of times it does mean I sometimes measure at like 3am though. Equally, fully understand not wanting to temp - it does add another layer of faff! CM and OPKs are enough to be getting on with lol

@lovesT I was going to post a picture of mine to show you but don’t seem to have the option….. I generally find that they’re quite light, go medium for a day and then very positive/peak the next morning. But everyone is different as others have said.

Here are my OPK's the month I got my BFP if this helps? They're One Step ones too but from eBay! Very light and then started to get dark, I always got my peak in the evenings! I used to test around 2pm and 8/9pm!

@GreenFlipFlop thank you! I feel like mine are very faint ... And this photo is of a few from different days but obviously not within the 10 minutes. I think one of them is slightly darker though??

@lovesT Oo yeah that one at the top definitely looks slightly darker than the other 2! They may start getting gradually darker now up until your peak!

Here are my OPKs from this cycle @lovesT - never got one as dark as @GreenFlipFlop but the one on day 14 - I put an asterisk next to it - was as dark as control line so I think that counts! They've all faded a bit now of course.

But yes I think I may have missed the actual peak this month as it wasn't quite as dark as I'd have liked! I think I have a very short peak window.

@GreenFlipFlop well it would have been the 4th cycle but because my cycle kept getting messed up, after we dtd when I thought was my fertile window it actually moved my fertile window to a date we didn’t dtd! So basically last few months haven’t actually done it once during fertile window until January when we did it once! How many weeks are you now?

@HollyT222 hello! I actually feel really low today if I'm honest! I'm really bored of seeing really really faint lines on my OPKs and wondering if doing them is helping or making me feel worse?!

It is so hard waiting isn't it, I'm on day 11 and I thought ovulation might happen in the next week but I'm not sure what's happening. My toddler is full speed today so that's fun 😅.

I don't know if I just have really bad OPKs? They were cheap ones ...

I'm 12 weeks tomorrow, my scan is on Tuesday! Really hoping everything's ok..it feels like it's been harder than my first so far..but that might just be because I have a toddler this time 😂

@lovesT sorry to hear that. It’s definitely a really tough time for lots of reasons. This is month 3 for us so early in our journey and we already have a 15 month old son.

So with regards to OPKs… I use the easy at home ones from Amazon. A few months ago I didn’t get my peak until day 27! It was after my Covid booster so I’m blaming that. Then the next month it was day 22 and this month day 18… day 11 is still really early and it can change so quickly. Do you look out for other signs such as EWCM? I have that for about 4/5 days before my peak so I know it’s coming. Just keep testing, I’m sure it will come but I know how frustrating it can be. Sorry if you’ve covered some of this higher up the chat!

Hi Everyone! Congratulations to the BFPs so far! I'm jumping on the bandwagon- TTC baby no 3 and just started my POAS obsession 😂 in the TWW. I'm 7dpo after using OPKs and got this result today. I've heard about these tests being quite bad for evap lines but it was around the 10 minute mark that I checked and I'm hopeful there's a very faint line the same width as the control line 🤞 I know it's very early so am I kidding myself? xx

Oh wow I didn't realise you are pregnant @GreenFlipFlop! Congratulations! So exciting about the scan, I'm sure everything will be good. Have you had much sickness?
@lovesT don't despair, it takes a while sometimes to see the lines getting darker. Mine were only darker for like one or two days before the peak! And only dark for a few hours at the peak. It may be that you are going to ovulate later in your cycle than you thought which will be super helpful to know I'm sure! I understand it can be draining though x

I'm feeling a bit down today too - did a FRER this morning and it was BFN, although it's probably too early - I'm 9/10 dpo, not sure which as either ovulated on day 15/16. I got a BFP on day 10 with my DD and day 11 with the pregnancy that ended in miscarriage. Shall see what happens next couple days!

I am thinking maybe not pregnant this cycle as I was quite ill around my fertilie week and had to take antibiotics etc so maybe it's just not the right month. Who knows eh!?

@TBay07 definitely looks like there is a line!! But you are right, it's v early if you are 7dpo. Could you possibly have ovulated earlier?
Maybe go grap a pink ink test like a FRER or the Asda ones?!? I've heard they're more reliable! But definitely looks positive to me! ❤️❤️

@Skylark1990 it's still so early for you, not only is everyone different but all pregnancies are different so there's nothing to say you won't get your BFP this month- keeping everything crossed for you!

Yeah I've heard the pink dye is much clearer and less likely to give a confusing evap line so I've ordered some of those coming tomorrow! According to my OPKs I'm 7dpo but we DTD a few days before and after that date and they say prediction for a reason so I'm hoping it was actually a BFP but I'll keep you updated! x

@HollyT222 thank you, that's all really helpful. Yes I usually go by CM so I shouldn't be doing this to myself really as I know something happens each month it's just not quite yet! I think it's just as I see so many other tests that's seem much darker and gradually get darker but mine seem a a lot fainter that those .. sorry to be so miserable!! It's just been a hard month for multiple reasons.

3 months isn't long but at the same time every month it gets harder doesn't to, we're on month 5 now and I feel sadder each time xx

@Skylark1990 thank you that's helpful too 😊 I know I get ovulation symptoms so I think the OPKs are making me over think everything and thinking there is something wrong. I do tend to over think things! I'll try not to get so down about it and hopefully in a week or so I'll see darker lines x

@TBay07 that looks positive to me but as others say I would check with a pink dye test to be sure as still early.

@Skylark1990 I’m sorry you’re feeling like that. It really is so hard. No matter how much I tell myself not to get my hopes up it’s impossible not to! And not to analyse every twinge in the TWW. So I understand how you’re feeling and I’m sure that will also be me in 10 days time. Lots of people do get positives closer to the day of their missed period though so all is definitely not lost 😊

If I got pregnant this cycle baby would be due basically on my little boys second birthday! So I’m trying to soften the blow by thinking next month would be better but in reality I know I’ll still be sad if I’m not….

@skylark1990 I am 😊 I got my BFP just before Christmas! I'm just lingering on this group because it was such a great support to me and I want to see others get their BFPs! 🥰
The sickness has been quite grim tbf, I'm struggling quite a lot! Not as much sick as with DS1, but all day constant nausea that's felt a bit debilitating 😩 I'm hoping 2nd trimester gets better!

So sorry about your previous loss 😔 9/10 days is also early, there's still a chance till AF arrives! 🤞🏾

Hopefully sickness goes away once you're in second Tri @GreenFlipFlop! I remember that nausea and sickness well argh so horrible. I had it till 16 weeks 😬 make sure you update us after your scan 🙂

How is everyone today? I'm feeling so emotional / hormonal, been peeing more and have a lot of CM but kinds have a feeling I'm not pregnant even tho I wonder if I am with those symptoms haha. I did another FRER today and it was basically negative with maybe the FAINTEST squinter line... Like only visible when angling certain ways. I do feel lik possibly more of a line than yesterday but it was basically clear and not sure I can count it. I'm 10/11 dpo now so feel it would be stronger if I was pregnant!

Going into London for work today so at least have that to distract me. X
