@GreenFlipFlop ah that's so exciting, what a brilliant start to the year for you! Hoping the nausea doesn't get much worse for you and that you're getting some rest occasionally! It is tough going with a toddler even without being pregnant! ♥️

Thanks so much! I really hope we don't have to wait too much longer but I am also trying to channel my inner patient graceful person 😬 I've not bothered with OPKs this month but pretty sure I'm in my fertile week going by dates/symptoms. My plan this cycle has just been to crack on with dtd as often as we can and I'll test on 17th if I get that far!

GreenFlipFlop · 06/01/2022 13:51

@Goodgoodthings Thank you, me too with the nausea! My nipples also really hurt but strangely my actual boobs don't hurt at all 🤔

Yay good luck! I'll be looking forward to some more BFP's! 🥰

Asking for advice... I am cd10 and ovu isn't forcasted for another 4 days but I had my cervical smear test today. The nurse said it won't have any impact on my ovulation but has anyone heard of it affecting them or their cycle /ovulation??

TotoAnnihiliation · 07/01/2022 10:19

I'm due on tomorrow, fingers crossed AF doesn't show up!

TotoAnnihiliation · 08/01/2022 09:18

I can't contain myself.... I've had a very faint positive this morning. I'm taking things gently as it is such early days!

@TotoAnihiliation very exciting! 😀😀

TotoAnnihiliation · 08/01/2022 10:41

Thank you! I want 100% sure when I ovulated. I think around 27th, we DTD on 25th, 29th.

I've had tingly nipples, but not the extent when I was expecting DD, my uterus has felt bloated. The big thing for me that my sense of smell has rocketed!

Hi everyone

Been quiet the last few weeks as been enjoying Xmas after my negative last cycle (including all the cheeses, cured meats and wine). We didn’t track for the month and didn’t really try, unfortunately I was quite unwell last week as well with fevers (surprisingly not COVID)

Congratulations on the BFPs @ExPatHereForAChat @girafferafferaffe @GreenFlipFlop and anyone else I’ve missed.

I should be cycle day 1 today or tomorrow depending when AF shows up so getting back on it. Going to add in some vitamin E this month to see if I can lengthen my luteal phase as still only at 10 days (if AF shows today)

Baby dust for those hoping for their positives this year!

Margo34 · 09/01/2022 21:46

I'm 10dpo and very aware of needing to pee A LOT. I don't remember the need to pee so frequently with my first, don't want to get my hopes up, I'm holding out on testing but it's haaaaard!

Moonshine160 · 10/01/2022 22:02

Meh I’m having a few days of feeling a little low, I think mainly because I’ve been isolating due to having covid so it’s given me too much time to think and obsess. This is only the 4th month of TTC but I’m got all my usual PMS symptoms before AF rears her ugly head so I think it’ll soon be month 5. We conceived our DS in the first cycle so I don’t understand why it’s not happening for us when we’re DTD loads at the right times! I’ve convinced myself there’s something wrong and it’s not going to happen.

FlyOnTheWall89 · 10/01/2022 22:26

@Moonshine160 there is a thread I started ages ago. SO many people have very different experiences from child to child - it doesn't mean there is something wrong necessarily! Like first month with baby 1, 14 with baby 2. I imagine not going through any wait the first time round, makes it very worrying. Try to stay positive. You could always get some bloods taken to reassure yourself x

SonicHg · 11/01/2022 00:21

Hi guys,
We’re just getting started with ttc #2 and hoping for a bit of luck. Clueless with exact ovulation date because of slight variations on different websites and never tracking my cycle before. I’m 27 and have a 5 month old (a pleasant surprise) still exclusively BF. Bit scared about trying because now that I’m making a conscious decision I feel like it won’t happen.

Moonshine160 · 11/01/2022 06:22

@FlyOnTheWall89 yes you’re right, because the first took no time at all I’ve convinced myself there must be something wrong this time when there probably isn’t! Who would I speak to about the bloods, my GP? I’m just mindful they will probably tell me to wait until I hit the year mark x

FlyOnTheWall89 · 11/01/2022 07:12

@Moonshine160 if you're over 35, your GP will do them at 6 months I think. If under, it's a year. You can get them done privately- lots of practises use the phrase fertility MOT. I had mine done after 8 months. I'm now on cycle 9 and I'm getting progesterone tested on Thursday (I'm 99% sure I do ovulate, but this ticks a box). No rhyme or reason for not getting pregnant in my eyes. Healthy, 32, don't really drink, don't smoke, work out but not intensely, take my vitamins, normal cycles, regular OPK results, bloods so far all normal.... one person on here wrote that each month you're either pregnant or not pregnant. It's like rolling a dice every month and trying to get 6 ... sometimes you'll be lucky first time, sometimes you won't be. Good luck! X

Chanel05 · 11/01/2022 15:11

@Moonshine160 sorry you're feeling this way. How are you feeling with covid? Unfortunately, it's completely random as to how and when you conceive. Both my previous pregnancies took 8 cycles to conceive and I'm on cycle 4 now. I have learnt over time that you have to take the good with the bad. I started ttc in September and I keep September focused in my head that I'll probably be pregnant that month or by then, that way I can't be too disappointed.

Moonshine160 · 12/01/2022 10:57

Thanks @FlyOnTheWall89 and @Chanel05

I felt poorly with covid for about 3 days but improved quickly after that. That’s a good way to look at it, I need to try and get in a more positive mindset because each month I’m convinced it’s not going to happen before we’ve even tried.

Has anyone heard of letsgetchecked.co.uk? They offer progesterone and AMH testing and you send off your samples to a lab. I’m thinking of maybe doing that next cycle just for some peace of mind.

Goodgoodthings · 15/01/2022 16:06

So not bothering with OPKs and just going by CM seems to have worked for us this month 🥲 holding my breath a bit but...there it is! Pretty sure I'm 10DPO today and can't actually believe what I'm seeing.

Hope this sticks and that you all are having a lucky month too?

Chanel05 · 15/01/2022 16:39

@Goodgoodthings congratulations ! Wishing you a sticky one!! How much did you dtd?

I'm in my fertile week, cd12 and had my first flashing smiley this morning. I ovulated on cd14/15 last month so expecting it in the next few days. I dtd last night, so should I dtd tomorrow night and the following 2 nights or go for the 4 in a row? Trying to give it my all this time!

Goodgoodthings · 15/01/2022 16:53

Thank you @Chanel05 ! I am feeling cautiously optimistic at the moment. Just can't believe it. Have had no symptoms at all 😅

Keeping everything crossed that this cycle is the one for you! Looking at my app Flo predicted my window was cd 16-22 and we DTD days 19-22. And funnily enough wearing my thermal socks in the TWW with it being so cold recently 😂 got to laugh!

Moonshine160 · 15/01/2022 17:02

Hi everyone. @Goodgoodthings I also got my BFP yesterday at 10DPO! We have very similar lines.

This was our 4th cycle. We’d been using pre-seed and OPKs every cycle including this one, the only different thing I did this month was constantly keeping my feet warm and wearing fluffy socks or slippers. My friend was adamant that with all her pregnancies this worked because warm feet means warm uterus which helps with implantation Grin probably a load of rubbish but I was getting impatient so thought I would give it a go.

Sending baby dust to everyone! I will be lurking a while longer though if that’s ok xx

Sorry I didn’t mean to post that pic of my DS and I’m not sure how to remove it !

Goodgoodthings · 15/01/2022 17:05

Ah @Moonshine160 congratulations! I'm sure I saw you on another thread, that's brilliant news! I also did the warm feet thing so who knows 😬 Worth a go though for sure. I hope you're feeling really well ♥️

Not sure about the photo but hopefully someone else will come along to help you.
