Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

If you did cheapie tests weeks ago and they were negative and the general consensus was to wait 3 weeks then do 1 final test - would you splash out on a clearblue or will an ebay cheapie do?

had unprotected sex for a few months but am back on contraception now, did tests weeks ago that were neg, but couldve been still to early.
Had heart burn recently and think i should do 1 more,

Should I get a CB? Will that give me a definative answer now that last unprotective sex was over 3 weeks ago?

Have you missed a period?

I think the cheep one's are just as good.

Not missed a period because before I had a natural period after having unprotected sex I went on the pill, and I dont have a break for 6 months as I get migranes when im 'on'.

So its been about 7 weeks since first having unprotected sex and 3 weeks sice the last time, and on the pill for 3 weeks.

I agree that some cheap ones are just as good, if not better than the expensive tests. I wouldn't worry too much unless you missed your period.

Any pregnancy test should give you a definitive answer if the sex was three weeks ago. Can take up to 12 days after ovulation for the egg to implant and a couple more days for the HCG to start showing up on a test. So three weeks should be more than enough time for the hormone to build up so that even the least sensitive test will be accurate.
